My word. I gagged all the way up to my office in the elevator because a lady who was obviously a smoker was smelling up the place.

Give over, don't be a Jessie. Someone who smokes heavily may smell a bit, but not enough to make you 'gag'. Man, you'd be so out of place in a beer garden/festival.

Barmy, heavy smokers do not smell "a bit" as you so innocently claim. The problem with this incident in the elevator is that I could not get away from her since I was trapped in this box with her and she reeked horribly of stale smoke and b.o. The only thing worse than the scent of smoker's clothing is their breath.

And yes, I would be out of place in a beer garden/festival but I don't see that as a bad thing.

One last thing, what is a Jessie? Sometimes your use of UK slang makes for some pretty amusing posts to foreigners. I'm glad you aren't in the closet about your love for... cigarettes.

Ew, now that IS foul. There's no excuse for stinking of B.O.

A Jessie is like 'big girl'.

I would - don't you wanna be down with the cool kids?

Why, mate? I thought we were getting close...

I used to smoke close to a pack a day until I quit last year. I did enjoy smoking, but I think that's a cop-out. I think everyone who smokes enjoys smoking, otherwise they wouldn't do it. It's an expensive habit that carries with it a health risk - no one is going to do that to themselves if they don't derive some level of enjoyment of having nicotine coarse through their body.

That having been said, I don't really miss cigarettes. I did when I first quit, but now I really don't think about them much at all.
