As many of you know, I somehow managed to complete my old computer tech PSD.

Now, I have to look for work in the field. I had heard about A+, but thought I could manage just fine without it. It seems employers think otherwise - many of the job openings I found require this POS. It kills me to admit it, but it looks like I'm left with little choice but to do it.

So, where can I take this POS, and how much can I expect to dish out to kiss M$' ass? And no rubbing it in my face - it was bad enough that I had to swallow my pride to come to grips I'm forced to do this POS.

A+ isn't going to be fun for you. It covers MS-DOS, and every version of Windows since then. I exceled at the hardware portion of the book, but the OS section killed me.

While in my "PC Tech" class, I was told to go to http://certification.comptia.org/a/default.aspx to find all the information on the A+ certifcation. :rolling:

For the love of Satan, MS-DOS?!? Who still uses that crap?

And you're telling me I'm gonna have to deal with 3.0, 3.1, NT, 95, 98, ME, 2k, XP AND Vista?

Bloody hell. :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

    Necessary evil, I suppose.

    Thanks for the tip, though.

You'd be suprised. There are 14 computers in my department that use MS-DOS...and each one of those machines also has a Windows NT based computer that monitors it. There are also a dozen or so machines and computers that use windows 98, and everything else uses XP...I haven't seen a Vista computer yet, but I'm sure they will start to show up soon. :bad: :rolling:
