[IMG] My favorite band of all time. Has been since I was a wee lad. Any other New Order fans out there? Let's talk.

Y'know it's funny because I recently started listening to them again for old time's sake. As a teenager I worshipped these guys (along with Joy Division) but all these years later... meh, I dunno. The lyrics are pretty inane and the singing's really sub-par. Joy Division seems to have held up pretty well for me but New Order... eh, the thrill is gone. :(

I never could get into Joy Division. Ian Curtis' voice has never appealed to me.

I won't disagree that Bernard Sumner's voice has never been that great, especially when they first started out. However, with age I think the vocals have gotten better.

Their most recent album was pure gold, if you ask me. Well, maybe 24k, because there's one song on there that I could do without. I'm still trying for clarification on what the status of the band is. News on this great British band is hard to come by in the states.
