I'm thinking of playing a banter-heavy game. Heck, I might even stray from my typical 4 person party here! I'll probably use that "level 1 NPC" mod, so don't concern your response with the clashes of classes of the NPCs or whatever. Just LMK who you think has the best banter together.

Jan with, well, anyone is great. Especially goody-two-shoes characters.

And as for "LMK" - "let me kiss" seems a tad extreme. :p

Edwin has some really great ones, if you can play evil.

Jan Jansen is banter all the way and if you're into NPC mods, Jan and Tashia have some really nice ones.

But the award for the best conversation still goes to Minsc. When the little kid asks you to come to the Umar Hills he will automatically seek out Minsc if he's in your party. I have a savegame just for that dialog :D

The romance characters all have the most banter with [charname]. The cat fights will all three women in the party are priceless (up until the breaking point). Jaheira's is most complex and has the most dialog -- with Aerie's next if you add HD for the love triangle.

In general, Jaheira has the most dialog scripted for various encounters throughout the game, followed by Minsc.

Combinations with a good amount of banter:

    Keldorn-Anomen
HD-Aerie (especially if you're also in a romance with her)
Minsc-Aerie (she becomes his new witch)
Minsc-Keldorn (Keldorn becomes almost fatherly, like George is to Lenny in Of Mice and Men)
    Mazzy-Korgan
    Mazzy-Valygar
    Jan-Minsc
    Jan-Keldorn
    Jan-Anomen

I think having a female protagonist with Jan-Keldorn-Minsc-Anomen may have the most banter -- add Edwin to the mix for the great Edwina dialogs (Minsc and Anomen are great with Edwina).

In ToB Sarevok has good some good banters (the ones with Minsc and Viconia made me laugh).
I've heard Cernd has some very funny banters with Edwina but have yet to try him out - that's something for a forthcoming game, I think.

There's quite interesting banters with a nature-freak team consisting of Cernd, Jaheira, Minsc and Valygar.

I recall Minsc having good one's with Mazzy as well...
