Only $59.99+shipping @ Tigerdirect after the $10 rebate and they take Paypal.
I just bought one about an hour ago.
There is only about 24 hours left for the rebate.

    I paid $89.99+tax for my 8500GT a year ago... :(

Tal- I looked at all the guidelines I could find and didn't see a proabition against posting a link to a comerical site. I hope it's OK. I didn't want folks to miss out on this deal with only one day left.

[It's not an issue in a case like this. -Tal]

People here have posted about having problems playing older games like IWD and Diablo with 8000 series cards. This might be the time to upgrade your 8400/8500/8600 card. ;)

The 9500 is a step in card placed in many out iof the box pre assembled pc's. it is a fair card, and the price is nice, but to use it as an upgrade for and old pc gives a few problems.

First, it is PCI express. Many old pc have the AGP slot, making it impossible to run this card. Second, it is not only the Graphics Processor Unit that makes a pc tick.

To be a bit critical. A review saying it is pretty much the 8600 GT http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-9500-gt-review/

    a GPU chart: www.tomshardware.co.uk/charts/graphics-cards/3dmark06-v1-0-2-hdr-sm3-0-score,538.html

Just add the 8600GT to it and the ATI 3850.

Then look at this deal from the same site: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3481269&CatId=1560

The 9500 is a 8600 GT card, nothing more. If you have a Nvidia 8200 or 8300 motherboard than the 9500GT can be setup in SLi with the IGP.

For $15 more you can get the XFX 8800 GS on Tigerdirect; this is the none overclocked model.

Just thought I'd post that the new card has been running like a charm for almost a week.

I've noticed the modest upgrade, and it runs a little cooler and the fan isn't as noisy.
    :)
