Thanks for the offer, Z, it was very kind of you, but I'm downloading some lectures from a dinosaur aged uni network, atm, so mIRC refuses to cooperate simultaneously - I think it's trying to tell me to stop bothering with it and return to the 21st century internet.

Not to mention that it's tricky to chat with people repeating "Let me play PES" behind your back...

It's just one of those days, it'll pass.
To prove it - :) (smilies are back :p)

Well if you do the shrooms justice and spell them properly (Shiitake), they don't get censored. :D

As for links getting censored, that's automatic as well. I've refined the censor a bit now so all those ****-ty issues shouldn't happen any more.

Lore, if you can't afford a desktop, why not get one of the netbooks, e.g. an Eee? They're relatively inexpensive and while you won't run any new games on it, they're good enough for pretty much everything else. Should come in handy during your studies too...

Well, considering that all musrooms are nasty, it makes sense that at *least* one of them has the word sh** in the name...kind of lets you know how it's going to taste before it's cooked. :rolling:

Nah, I prefer auto-censoring myself. Tal and I have an history regarding asterisks - can you feel the heat?

Nah - I say that you should wallow in self pity and depression and drink a lot of really strong coffee that has sat too long and gotten cold. That is the only way to deal with the cruelty of this world :D.

At Tal - If I wrote Shitake correctly then how would I have been able to prove my point? (BTW, that is a rhetorical question because I'm sure there are probably a lot of words I could find to use in it's place. )

@Kit - You drink mountain dew and you hate mushrooms. What else is wrong with you? :p ... wait, were you the guy who hates cheesecake?

I didn't know it was possible to hate cheesecake - they're possibly the greatest thing in the world.

I used to dislike mushrooms because I worked in a mushroom factory. And I can tell you - the stuff we actually sell is of a vastly inferior quality than the stuff we handle, probably because they rot on the shelves. Also, don't buy mushroom-in-a-can. Ever. There are two uses for discarded mushrooms in the factory: one is feeding farm animals, the other is putting it in a can.

OTOH I'm beginning to like 'shrooms again - used to love them. Portabellos are lovely after being baked in the oven...

The lady next to me is obsessively looking up information on Coronation Street on the Coronation Street Wikia (I didn't know they had a wiki). She's looking at Episode 6657. Crazy lady.

I've always liked mushrooms, even as a kid. Portabellos are my favorite.
While I don't hate cheesecake, I don't seek it out either. One or two pieces a year is fine for me. Leaves more for everyone else ;p
Angel food cake and pineapple upside down cake are my favorites these days.

ION, my mother and I are once again fighting foreclosure on the house. Not good for the nerves.

    Yup...that's me.

I don't see how eating fungi is appealing. :nolike: And don't get me started on cheesecake...I can eat it if I convince myself that it's just a really bad tasting ice cream cake. :p Seriously though, a few months ago, a coworker brought in a cheesecake for someone's birthday, and I had a slice...thinking that it was ice cream cake...and after eating one bite, I tossed the rest in the trash. It was from The Cheesecake Factory, so apparently it was "really good" cheesecake, but it tasted just as bad as all the other times I've had cheesecake. :nolike:

And don't hate Mt. Dew...everyone knows that you Canucks don't get the *real* Mt. Dew up there in the frozen north...they dilute it, rape it of its flavor, and remove its awesomeness...oh, and the caffeine isn't in there either. :p :rolling:

Deathmage: The Word is s***e (pronounced shtay), and I believe it's a form of the verb that means "to do". Likely very common when talking in Japanese, but the site in question has a very picky language filter (as higher standards of behavious are expected of the members, considering what they claim to be and what they were looking for).

ION: We had our family Thanksgiving gathering. I survived, but because of my back, I didn't get to circulate as much as I usually do...

    Kitrax:jawdrop:, not liking cheesecake is just . . . . . . wrong.
It's like, the best food ever invented, even better than ice cream! ! ! !
Dang, now i'm gonna have to go to the store to get the fixings to make a caramel apple crumb cheesecake.:D

I love mushrooms. Really love them. More then meat.

Tal: I have a laptop (notebook) but no phone line in the new flat. They should be installing that in the next few months, hopefully - after which I'll have all around internet access.
I game at my brother's computer, (except for IE games, those are on my laptop), and usually there's time for everyone. Net is the only issue, but that should be resolved shortly, I hope.
Anyway, thanks for the link. It looks pretty good, tbh. :)

ION, A wardrobe like door has been mounted at the top of the stairs leading to the basement of my house. Now you open the doors, and find yourself staring at stairway abyss. :p It gives a slightly Narnia-like feeling to it...

Ah, Coronation Street! The pride of our country
One of my previous neighbours was obsessed with Hollyoaks. I just shook my head every time I saw him watching it.

Did you know, folks? Seems a simple laptop with a rapid movement sensor to prevent hard disk damage can be used in predicting earthquakes. Maybe some of you will be interested.

[IMG] I tuned the censor to make it easier to use, but I'm not going to go manually adding every word with **** in. We'll just be giving infractions out to those who post words with **** in them for the sake of seeing them uncensored. So really, don't try to take advantage of the system.
