Slow internet

    Hi Guys

    My mum has a HP G6000 laptop (dunno if that makes a difference) and a wireless internet connection.

    Lately, the net has been running really slowley on it. I've put my laptop on the same wireless connection and it runs fine. The laptop itself is running at a pretty normal speed, it just takes forever for it to do anything on the net.

    Do any of you have an idea what this could be?

    Is the wireless network protected? If not, someone could be using your moms bandwidth for their own gain. If the network is protected; it could be spyware and adware. I believe Kitrax has a guide that helps remove those pesky software we didn't download.

    When's the last time you gave your gateway and WiFi router a rest? Unplug both of them for about 1 minute, and then plug them back in.
