Letterman's sexcapades

I tried to come up with a "top 10" joke, but am too tired. But I am surprised no one has started a thread on this.

Near as I can tell, Letterman did not rape any of these women. It was consensual sex all the way. Perhaps the fact that they were underlings might make some accuse him of using his power over them inappropriately, but at the time of this writing I have not heard any of the women make such a claim.

So basically, he's a horn dog. He did not degrade a beloved political institution, so no soap there. I wonder if his ratings will eventually slip -- apparently right now they are quite high.

Will he lose his show? Will the blackmailer even make it to court, or will it be hushed up? Will his wife leave him? Let 'er rip, my friends!

 

He banged a bunch of co-workers, might have used his position who knows. I think the thing worth discussing is how he handled the blackmailer. I do not understand why everyone doesn't handle it like Letterman, seems like such an obvious and good way to deflate the situation.

 

Letterman is not only horn dog out there and he's certainly not the first. I hold talk show hosts to a different standard than clergy and politicians (in particular when they preach family values while going their horn dog ways).

Nah, I'm just jealous I guess. My current perspective suggests that I too want to have twenty something interns still want to sleep with me when I'm 62 I better keep doing my sports ...

And anyway, didn't he marry in March? I remember him bringing his kid to the show not too long ago. That can't play well with his wife, unless they have an arrangement of some sort (which they probably do). However, that isn't my business to worry about

 

I hope I can be as active when I'm his age.

My feeling is, and always has been, what happens between two consenting adults is nobody else's business.

 

I hope they prosecute the butthole who tried to blackmail him. What a jealous moron, or a very stupid wanna be oppurtunists, take your pick. He actually took a check , I still can't believe that!

 

In general I agree, although if there is a spouse and family left out of the situation things get tricky. Oh well, the ball is in Mrs. Letterman's court. If she's satisfied, everything's fine. If not, well, at least the lawyers will be happy.

 

Who's this "Letterman" person? Is he on TV or something?

I don't think he should be held to the same standard as preachers or politicians...yes, he's in the public eye, but his job is to point out (and joke about) other people's screw up. The fact that he came clean on-air shows that he is not immune to himself.

 

I wonder what the oddsmakers in Las Vegas are saying about the odds of Letterman's wife divorcing him. If my spouse did that, and it got splashed all over the news, I'd be a vindictive bastard. She should divorce him, chanting all the while in Eddie Murphy's voice "I want half, Davey!"
