Taluntain – The Big Boss. You don't mess with the big boss. I've tried in BG2. Nasty business, I had to ctrl-y him. On the bright side, he is very reasonable (except when hacking at him with an axe) and is good-natured when I post things of dying animals and such.

chevalier – Hasn't posted much in the forums I use, but when he used to, he had interesting, well thought out posts; even when I disagreed with his posts I would still think they were good posts.

Harbourboy – He's from the southern hemisphere, which makes him suspicious. New Zealand, no less. Very suspect. Add to that his extraordinarily large number of posts and his complaints about people who waste time on boards like this and I'm pretty sure he's up to something. When I figure it out, I'll uncover his conspiracy for all to see!

Aldeth the Foppish Idiot – Contrary to popular belief, he is not the president of Zimbabwe, but he *is* foppish. The idiot part is still up in the air (like George Clooney), but his simultaneously intelligent and amusing posts seem to be evidence against idiocy.

Ragusa – Ze rezident Jerman! Fine chap, makes some good posts (although he can get carried away), and from what I can tell leads a very healthy lifestyle. Not sure what that has to do with anything, but when I think of Rags, I think of bicycles...

Blackthorne TA – Cool guy, moderates with an understanding, firm hand. Know his C++, which helped keep my grade afloat last semester. I would call him Tal's minion, but he is too smaht (that's a Boston accent, for the uninitiated) to be an underling.

T2Bruno – Makes me chuckle, gives good advice, and is probably part of HB's conspiracy. But, he doesn't look like a raven, so it's okay.

Disciple of the Watch – Ahh, the one we have all been waiting for: Like the Grinch, I wouldn't touch DotW with a thirty nine and a half foot pole, particularly if I had pissed him off. I would, however, grab some beers and chill with him, listening to metal and planning the destruction of evil ladies. He is funny as hell (if hell were quite funny) to listen to when describing his life, and I am pretty sure he is baked all of his non-working time. Works for me haha.

8people – Very cool chick, I enjoy reading her posts and I would probably get along well with her in real life. The fact that all of her posts have the smiley face with the 'x's for eyes confuses me because I can never tell when she is joking or serious :p

Chandos the Red – Texas. That's all.

(Nah, he's a smart guy whose posts are interesting and clever. The fact that he is from Texas doesn't factor into his badassery <--- (That is under the assumption he shoots things while wearing a cowboy hat) )

Splunge – Reminds me of a smelly plunger. A smelly plunger who makes me laugh with nearly ever post. Probably the best smelly plunger I know, although I don't know how effective he would be at unclogging toilets.

joacqin – Didn't know what liberalism was until I read some of this guy's posts. He brings a new side to the argument that is interesting, albeit slightly... excited. Always spices the Alleys up.

Saber – SP's handsomest guy. What else is there to say?

dmc – Knows more about classic rock than a stone from the 60's. Although his ideas on which Pink Floyd albums are good is highly suspect :p

LKD – Although I disagree with many of his Alley posts, he is a lot of fun in many of the other forums (and that is not to say his Alley posts are bad; they are well thought out, I just happen to disagree ;)). Has a good taste in books and movies (IIRC).

Ziad – For some reason, I am drawing a blank! I don't seem to know Ziad very well (although I seem to recall the color of his gem at all times... it is an emerald, right?). Hopefully I will get to know him better in the future.

NOG (No Other Gods) – Seems like a friendly guy, even if I am probably his polar opposite on Alley-type matters. I will make more of an effort to get to know him in le future.

Drew – Haven't seen much recently, but he is always a pleasure to post with. Adds some interesting POVs to any argument, as well as non-Alley posts.

Rotku – Honestly, I don't know Rotku that much, but from what I can recall he seems decent enough!

AMaster – He is a master of amusement. Get it?  Actually, I don't know him that well either, but when I do see him post, he is a nice dude.

Kitrax – Too clever for his own good. I  my balls off at many of his posts. He is another poster I could get along well with, chilling with some beer and videogames. Except I don't plan on entering the state of Utah anytime soon, so you'll have to make do without me :p

Also, this was typed in an extreme state of fatigue. I apologize if I upset anyone.

I'm amazed I'm one of the top active posters. Really amazed. I've been hardly more than a lurker for years now. Guess the spammi... err... valuable contributions all those years back are still lingering :D

Anyway, time for this lurker's opinion (bored as I am):

Taluntain - A cool responsible sort, as we all know. Haven't really spoken to him for many years, but certainly felt the hard end of his boot a few times in chat, back in the day. How could we not worship this digital deity?

chevalier - Always been a Chev fan. I think he's probably the last person on SP I've really talked to (using talked in the most vaguest sense of the word). A hard working, lawyery sort, who's always fun for a chat.

Harbourboy - A fellow kiwi. What more can I say? Friendly, funny sort, who knows way too much about Civ IV.

Aldeth the Foppish Idiot - Definitely one of SPs more amusing posters. Great respect for his opinion on those times he ventures down into the Alleys.

Ragusa - Always enjoy reading his posts. Nice seeing a view point so different from the usual.

Blackthorne TA - Can't say I've really read many of his posts, although his comments as a moderator have made me laugh on a fair few occasions.

T2Bruno - Wise, knowledgeable sort - with advice or an opinion always up his sleeve. Even if I disagree with some of his political views, he seems to have thought them through well.

Disciple of the Watch - This one is a hard one to write about. I can never quite work out how much of his attitude is an internet persona or how much is real. I guess it'll remain a mystery.

8people Probably one of the people I've chatted with most during my time in SP. Always a friendly cheerful person who's fun to sit around and talk with in FAI.

Chandos the Red - Huge respect for this guys views on life. They seem to coincide with my own more often than not. And his way of putting them down on paper is at times masterful.

Splunge - Amusing, funny chap. His posts are always a highlight in any thread.

joacqin - Curious guy. His posts are always interesting to read (even if I find the format hard at times). He's sure of his views and enjoys expressing himself. Often adds an interesting touch to any Alley discussions.

Saber - Never really had much to do with him. Reading a few of his alley posts from time to time, he always strikes me as quite young, although a smart guy.

dmc - Don't think I've ever really had much to do with dmc. The few times our paths have crossed, he's struck me as a sensible, level headed person.

LKD - While I don't think he's someone I'd go out of my way to socialize with in the real world, it's good seeing his additions to any debate in the alley. He certainly seems like a guy who has experienced life (at least certain parts).

Ziad - Can't say I've seen enough of him to really draw much of an opinion, other than the occasional alley post and in the tech forum.

NOG (No Other Gods) - Don't really know what to say here. Often get the view he's stuck in a small box, as far as his views on life go and often find they're nto well thought out.. But then that could be just because I disagree with most of them. He does however seem to enjoy debating and challenging others views, which is always nice to see.

Drew - Adds yet another view to any debate he chips in on. Guy seems cool headed and well thought out in his views, even where we disagree.

Rotku - I'm still surprised this guy made it on to any list... What's the world coming to?

AMaster - Can't say I know much about AMaster at all, other than at one time he had a little blue gem stone. Maybe. Or maybe not.. I don't recall.

Like I said before... I'm not an entertainer. Regarding the attitude... I've mellowed out and returned to my older self, the distant, cold-shouldered A-hole who just doesn't give a [bleep]. But what you see is what you get... I tend to rub a lot of people the wrong way, and only by actually taking the time to get to know me (if I let the person -- I like to keep people at a distance) can one appreciate -- or not -- the way I am, who I am.

But, for the most part I take pride in being an enigma... when I'm not going through a louder, crazier mood.

How come I'm a suspected conspirator because I'm from New Zealand, but Rotku "seems decent enough"? If you're going to be prejudiced against people who live in paradise then at least discriminate equally.

Anyway, I'm off now to hack into the post counts and add a few zeroes to my count.......

I didn't know Rotku was from NZ... hmm, the conspiracy widens! His apparent decency fooled me into lowering my defenses. I shall have to be on double alert!

Venturing outside the top 20, one more shoutout...

Silvery - I freaking love Sil. Subtle as two dozens tons of brick... yet entertaining like nobody's buisness. I never get tired of reading her posts, especially the drunken ones, those always crack me up. I'd DEFINITIVELY smoke some hookah with Sil, and maybe a bit of "nature" as well, because Sil is a one-woman riot, and I mean that in a nice way.

    Awww...fanx lovely.

In RL though we'd clash so much be because I'm a stubborn, pig-headed, grumpy cow. Especially if I have no wine, caffiene or alcohol...On the other hand, if we had kids then they would rule the world by the time they were 13!

I love everyone on here (most of the time). Don't care if people have opinions that are screwy to me, each to their own. A bit of fire never did anyone any harm.

I love 8 (although I admit she used to piss me off something chronic a few years ago, dunno why!) as she is a whole bundle full of fabulousness

Tri has to be one of my favourites just because he's cute and I want a pet Canadian

    Caradhras is a luvvy

And the rest of you rock. I'd say more but I'm 'weight lifting' (Thanks DotW) again

One day without caffeine and I become a living hell, so I certainly can attest to that. As far as stubborn and pig-headed go... I'm bull-headed myself, and can be stubborn to no limit when I feel something I am doing is for the best. As for grumpy... well, I'm more of the 6:32 pissed off type myself... and I run hot and cold more often than I'd like to admit.

The wicked union that shall enslave the world?

I like the sound of that.

It seemed to me originally that 8people was the 'mother' of this community, but now it's become clear that Silvery's the mother and 8people is the big sister. :thumb:

A Hall of Fame would have to include All Time Greats, which means digging the archives for classic, but seemingly retired, posters, like the legendary Sorvo.
