So, I'm running an evil party, and using the virtue mod. I was, for some reason, under the impression that Imoen wouldn't be influenced by my virtue level, and that she would open locks and disable traps at my bidding once more, when I picked her up in Spellhold.

Unfortunately, she left me to my evil ways. So, now I am on my way to the Underdark with no thief, which obviously won't do :/

My question is, can I somehow add a character of my own making to this party, eventhough it's single player? I just want to import this evil thief I made, and I'll use any means necessary. I downloaded Shadowkeeper, but it doesn't appear to have any options for what I want.

So, can I somehow add my new thief to this party? :D

By the way, I realize that I could change Imoens alignment before she joins me in Spellhold using Shadowkeeper, but this doesn't sit well with me, so I won't be doing it.

You need to add a multi player created character. Simple.

Copy your save game name folder in 'save' folder to 'mpsave' folder. If 'mpsave' does not exist, create one.

Be sure your cache size is set to bigger than 300 from configuration.

In the game menu, go multiplayer, choose connection type to TCP/IP. Crate Game, load game and load your save game. There, you can create a new character for the empty slot then click on its checkbox, and continue. Save your game with a different name, say, 'new save'.

Now exit game, copy the 'new save' from mpsave to save folder. Enter game through singleplayer and load your 'new save'. Voila!

You can adjust the new character's XP and gear via SK, if you like.
    Hope this helps. Have fun!

Also, once you've created the character, you can move your save back to the single player section, and avoid having to deal with the extra MP windows when launching the game.

Oh, and in answer to your direct question, yes, your party is most definitely DOOMED!! :aaa:

While I don't mind my party being doomed in the metaphysical sense of the word, I definitely don't enjoy the prospect of being without a thief throughout the Underdark :D

Also, the solution worked like a charm. Thanks!

It is a good solution you allready got there, but the Underdark is indeed doable with no thieves.

    Cheers

Is your party doomed? In a word: Yes. Every evil party is doomed as long as there are paladins of the most noble Order of the Radiant Heart, and Minsk and Boo, of course.

Except for that, Silverstar's proposal is exceedingly pragmatic and incidentally just what I, too, would propose and do. Your problem certainly is not a reason to restart the game.

As for Imoen or others leaving the party, the gibberlings tweak mod and the ease of use mod has components that will never allow NPC's to leave. I havent tried it with the virtues mod though.
