    Ofelix's search for the identity of a coin reminds me of a coin I found when I was a kid. I have since lost it but never did knew from what country it came from. I did tried Google a few times before but no luck. The coin was about 1.5cm in diameter, probably 2mm thick. Has a round hole in the middle. The design was very peculiar, no face or human or animal or emblem. Imagine the dial of a rotary telephone, that was the actual design on one side. The other side, iirc, shows it's denomination... unfortunately I don't remember how much. Anybody knows about it?

    Most coins with holes that I know/found on the net have the name of the country written on it (like the Spanish 25 pesetas, French 10 centimes, 25 Egyptian piastre Danish and Norwegian krones, 10 centimes from Belgian Congo, Indian pice, Philippines 5 centavo ;) and Third Reich's 10 Reichspfennig :p)

    Does it belong to an actual currency or could it as well be a token? Can you say something about the colour or metal?

    I honestly don't know if it belongs to a real currency or just a token. But it is the same material as most coins are, it's nickel colored but it was rather old. There was no text or characters that may suggest it belong to a certain country. No years either. There were only numbers, 0-9 for the telephone rotary design, and another number on the other side. Construction is very similar to that of a coin too, so I was never sure what to make of it.

    Our older payphones accepts coins, while the newer ones can accept bills or phone cards. Anyway, thanks a bunch guys, that really clears the mystery.

    Oh, definitely. But then, the beast is fast even so - I reboot from screen to screen in 45 seconds, and with loading I was usually back in the game within a minute. It was primarily a nuisance.

    It was just the lost game progress that annoyed me, ameliorated by the game I played recently having decent auto save functions or being outright on-line games.
