    I believe legal sanction is only warranted if the portrayal was unjust. Hard to say without knowing the facts, but according to the text linked, it seemed he presented facts to back up his assertion.

    Damage to her reputation, peace of mind etc. is immaterial if the portrayal is accurate (as least af far as I'm aware in the US; I don't know about Canada).
