    Well, it's not technically opium, but close enough.
    Black Lotus is a flower and drug in the Forgotten Realms. It's a reference to the "lotus eaters" from the Odyssey. It also makes a deadly poison.
    I honestly don't recall what the effects of either are exactly, so I can't say how close, just that both are drugs.
    Sorry, it's been 27 years since I played AD&D and 30 years since we were taught about the effects of various drugs.
