[IMG] The number of BG[+TotSC] players has decreased, and therefore this message board is not so active anymore. BG is a (relatively) old game now, but there are still many people who play it.
    Why? How?

I still play Baldur's Gate, in my opinion it is better than Baldur's Gate II, probably because of nostalgic feelings.

And now with TuTu it's better than ever, really great mod.

I have soloed with a f\m\t and a pure mage but this latest character needs more thought and planning than any other. Help me what is TuTu and where do I get it.

BG1tutu is a mod that lets you play BG with the BG2 engine. It made me go back to BG and play it again. It brought this game back to life... (for me at least)

The link to where BG1tutu can be found can be found here on SP, but for your convenience it's also here

I only play BG2 for now, but I intend to start a character in BG1 and play the classical team, then import in BG2.
    No mods, no extensions.

In spite of the fact I am an infinity engine game modder, I am quite conservative, and try unofficial mods only for test purposes. Therefore I am happy to see that many people like playing BG[+TotSC] without any mods/addons.
However, I am also glad to see that Tutu is becoming even more popular, it seems it is excellent mod (I would rather use a better word than mod however).
    Keep posting! :)

How de I play BG+TotSC? With a mouse and the keyboard and I read text, kill stuff, steal stuff, talk to stuff...

    Seriously

Well, I play it modless 'coz BG1 mod are of less quality.

Do I need to re-install BG1 and TotSC in order to play TuTu, because my TotSC's cd is scratched and I can't install it proprely plus my BG1 version is in French while my BG2 is in english.1

I have not tried BGTutu yet (I will when I have time), but so many people have positive opinions about it, that it will not disappoint you, I am sure. The lot of reinstalling worths it I think.

I like to play BG1 then export to BG2, so that I can take a character all the way from the beginning to the end of the story. BG1 offers its own challenges, and I often find lower level characters more intersting (I suppose that's because I'm still a 1st edition buff -- before 2nd edition turned every character into an ubermench). I like the TuTu, but since I play both games simultaneously, I don't use it. I don't play with other mods, though I have considered trying out Dark Side.

No options for me to choose, heh.

I'm currently playing the game in the recently released beta BP-BGT.

Experiencing the game in a radically different way than the first time, with a party of an assassin, Minsc, Dynaheir, Xan, Yeslick, and Imoen.

I decided not to add BP to the choices while creating this poll, because it was not released that time, and we need some time so more player will install it.

Although I'm not sure wether I own TotSC or just the origonal, I still play my BG cos it is the best game in the Multiverse! :D

I do play with mods, but only cos it sometimes makes the game fun and amusing :p

[IMG] I remember I was at my friends house years ago and he had BG1 on his pc, I hadn’t played RPG ever before that and I thought it was amazing ;z So I went to buy it, but then I saw BG2 and thought oh this must be even better then.

I actually completed BG2 first, and then got BG1, but of course, I wasn’t very impressed with it after completing BG2. I didn’t do much of the side quests or anything, just dashed through it but I might try the tutumod ;z

BG1 and BGII are not the same style.
Many different properties. The graphic, interactivity and some other things are better in BG2, but the story is not so good like in BG1. And almost all crpgs have linear gameplay, no area exploring like in BG1, etc.
Anyway, when I finish BGII and then play BG1, I have strange feeling first, especially because of the graphics I think. But then I "recover" and have fun!
Perhaps this is the reason why you did not like BG1 so much... or the entire style?

I always thought tutu was just another mod with some extra quests or whatev. But this looks very appealing, now where is that download button :D

    -[EDIT]-

Found the button allright and got it to work after I reinstalled BG1 and 2. And I gotta tell you, installing TuTu was a great move. This has got to be the best mod to BG that ever will be made. Great work.

It seems Tutu have become a very successful mod.
BGT is not so popular (yet). Some people say that for example its size is too large to download it. I have not tried it myself. Do anybody have any experience with BGT?

I have both BG2 and BG and am currently playing BG after a long break. I like the BG style alot more than BG2, more open maps and in my opinion a far less linear game. I will have to try Tutu.

-Does Tutu allow you to travel between BG1 and 2 areas?
