Resting?

Discussion in 'Icewind Dale (Classic)' started by DragonSlayer21, Apr 28, 2001.

  1. I tend to get a bad conscience when I rest all the time.
Is resting alot a bad thing or doesn't it matter...

I know how you feel. Sometimes I push my characters into the next battle injured and without spells just out of principle. It almost feels like cheating when you save the game and rest until you get healed without being attacked. I am glad however that there are certain areas that you are not allowed to rest.. I think it makes the game more interesting and challenging to try and optimize your combat skills.

Heh heh... I'm like that too... It's an extrememly rare occasion for me to rest unless someone becomes fatigued. Only if I'm all out of healing magic and about to die will I rest without anyone being fatigued.

I think the most I ever rested without being fatigued was in HoW on the Burial Isle.

[IMG] *edit* bah, message edited -there goes my clever comment. *edit*

But I'm the same way, I always wait until I'm out of healing spells at least before I rest. Also I save my 'haste' spell until the end of the day so I don't have to rest prematurely.

[IMG] I only rest when fatigued or out of healing, etc. I try to play the resting part of the game as close to real D&D as possible. I even put my mage in his room to study spells while the fighters suck back some ale at the pub. Cheesy, huh?
