    Remove all ads!
    [​IMG] I downloaded the patch 1.06 onto my computer so I could enable cheats and whatnot, It asked me if I wanted to install, so I did.... But then when I went to play the game everything was still the same. HELP!

    Okay... So I got the patch to work, and I read the cheat stuff on the site but I still cant get the cheating console to come up. I have 1.05 why wont it work?

    you need to put Cheats=1 under game options in the ini file. even though the console comes up i can't get the cheats working either! it just says nice try cheater, plus i've got the patch installed!

    I've found that only some cheats work, all the CHEATERSDOPROSPER work but the CHEATERDOPROSPER codes don't work. So i can only get the cheats with an S word for me.

    Well then, use S in all of them, doh. It's obviously a typo. I'll fix it in the next update.

    I recently re-installed IWD and instead of installing the 1.05 and 1.06 patches, I immediately installed Heart of Winter and applied the HOW patch. I can't seem to get the cheats to work.

    I have followed the online instructions (setting Cheats=1 in Icewind.ini) and everytime I try to use the codes, I get the "Nice try, cheater!" message (in fact, anything I type in the console gives this reply).

    Anyone have a clue? HOW is supposed to apply the 1.05 and 1.06 patches, so I don't see why not having applied those would cause a problem.

    In HOW you have to type GETYOURCHEATON instead of CHEATERSDOPROSPER.
