    [​IMG] I have the game downloaded at last. Ok..my question is as follows: Ive IWD1, HoW, and Trials...do I need the HOW patch?
    Is there a patch needed for Trials?

    I dont know if this had been discussed before, if it has...I apologize for bringing it up again

    ok..I noticed some mods for IWD HOW/Trials:
    Project Auril
    Winters Bane

    has anyone played these mods? any good? worth getting?

    It doesn't hurt if you install in this order: IWD, HoW, HoW patch, ToTL. But you can skip the HoW patch in this sequence because ToTL also acts as the final HoW patch, so the one before it is not really necessary.

    There is no patch for ToTL.

    Yep.

    TotL brings your Icewind version up to 1.42. There's no 1.43 or above, so TotL is worth installing for the patch alone.

    To be honest, I wish they hadn't made the patch 70meg, though...

    [​IMG] How in GOD's name has anyone ever downloaded TotLM!!! Do you need a 2 MBps line and be sitting within walking distance of the damn server for it :flaming: I have tried and tried again but the server still times out :bang: Isn't there another way!?!

    My net-connection?
    256Kbps 24-hour online cable (or whatever it is that passes for cable here).It is a shared modem with, as far as I know, about 4 people on it.I dont remember ever seeing anything over 15-20 KBps. However most of the stuff here at Sorcerer's gets downloaded before I know it.My having Win2k has no influence on this matter does it?
    I dont know what the problem is but the server keeps timing out. I have been trying with DAP. Tell me of any other such programs which might speed things up if that's what is required, with resume support that is.

    Thanks for the offer but I fear I will end up paying $50 Postage on a $20 Game if we go that way. If all else fails I can get someone to get it for me. Its about time my cousins sent me a present :D .

    Which could be an idea. What are the new games coming out within the next 6 months that will be worth getting. Anything from the RPG, RTS and FPS areas.

    When did Trials of the Lauremaster get relesed?
    I've never heard of it before coming to SP. Never seen it in any shops or anything? ...strange

    I baught a magazine about PC games and such(the name is PC Master) and in the bonus CD there was TotL. So, no downloading.

    Actually I would recommend using a download manager like Flashget (it's free!) or NetVampire. It may take time but it will work. The largest file I downloaded was TDD over 300Meg for BG2 so Trials is tiny compared to that!

    Besides Trials is so good that you will have a totally different game because of it. You'll love it!

    Oh well. 5 more weeks then six weeks to download the wintery add on in summery weather. Hopefully.

    6 weeks is long enough to download it isn't it?

    I downloaded TotLM in about 6 - 8 hours over a 56k modem. Just put your computer on in the morning, start the download, go out, come back later, and it'll be done!

    Took about 8 hours like Nad said but I left it downloading over night, not during the day. Still got to install and play it though. Thats next weekend gone :thumb:
