The level cap in NWN is level 20. Since you have 16 levels in the fighter class and 4 levels in the wizard class, your total character level is 20 (16 + 4), and hence you are maxed out.

Yea...I was a little upset when I realised that the level 20 cap. ment TOTAL levels! I wish I had stopped leveling in Magic User on level 4...instead i'm a level 5 MU and a level 11 Rogue. No more mage levels for me!

[IMG] Actually, I quite like the so-called 'cap'. It means that you should really, *really* think about whether you want to pick up another class, and when would be the right time to do it. But it's not really a 'cap', it's just that the core rules only carry a PC up to 20 character levels. The rules for levels 20 and beyond are covered in a more recent rulebook that wasn't included as part of NWN.

And if you didn't notice (until later) about the maximum level 20 bit, you may also want to go back and check out the favoured class concept - you may actually have been able to earn more xp than you did ;)
