    I would imagine most haks would be useable in the expansions, but I suppose it depends on what was changed to achieve that particular mod.

    One thing to note though, is that one of the things changed in the expansions is to improve on the henchman, so you may not need that mod any longer.

    Good question, and your best solution is to ask whoever made the hack. Their mail should be in the readme.

    I'd stay away from this hack however, because as BTA said, in the SoU expansion you will have full access to the inventory of the henchmen, same as with that hack.

    Edit: Ah, I just remembered you will start from level 1 again in the expansion, so I presume you will have to make a new character and won't be able to import the old NWN one anyway...

    I thought the whole point of an expansion was that it was, basically, an expansion of the original game. If you can't carry on with the same character then it hardly counts as an expansion.

    Seems the more I read about this game, the less I want to play it.

    @dshadow:

    My understanding is that there are two expansions forthcoming. The first, SoU, will be a new single-player adventure whereas the second - don't remember the name, or if it has even been named - will implement epic-level characters.

    JohnnyRTFM got it. The second expansion hasn't been named yet, but BioWare knows pretty well that no one is going to buy it unless they get epic levels implemented with it. That's why they're saying they can't guarantee it yet, but that they're looking into it... :heh:

    But in any event, I don't think even the second expansion will continue the original NWN campaign - I think that was pretty much over. But this is pure guessing, nothing concrete is known about XP2 yet.

    There's a log of a SoU chat posted on the front page of SP if you want more info.

    Since you pretty much reached 20th level in the official campaign, there would be no point in continuing with your character unless you didn't care that all the encounters would be of the same level and your character would never advance in level.

    Expansion doesn't have to mean continuation, though typically that's what's been done. An expansion expands on the original. In this case new monsters, locations, tilesets, and a whole new campaign.

    Since it is an expansion of the original game, yes you need it.
