    [IMG] another stupid question.

    If I'm making a fighter / barbarian...

    Suppose he is 11 / 4

will I get the bonus and attack of a 11 lvl character or of a 15 lvl character?

    thx

As far as I know, you'll get neither. What you will get is the sum of the two classes.

Dont have any rules before me, but let's say that a level 11 char of your first class has three attacks with +11/+6/+1, and a level 4 char of your second class two has two attacks with +3/+1. Your multi-classed char will then have 3 attacks with +14/+7/+1.

The 3 types of resistance (reflex, fortitude & willpower) works the same way btw.

That's not quite true. First there is no +3/+1 because you only get an extra attack at +6.

Basically, you add the attack bonus for the first attack for each of your classes and then look in the table on page 179 of the manual to find out what extra attacks you get and at what bonus.

As I stated above, every time one of your attacks reaches +6, you get another attack at +1, and whenever you get an increase, you get an increase to each attack you have.

Fortunately, at least for the above poster, all fighting classes have the same base attack progression. So when you're mixing and matching those classes, take the bab of your character level, not your class level. This might make things easier until you get more familiar with the rules.

This will not apply if you are mixing classes with different BaB. Check the back of the manual to see what attack bonus the classes you're mixing have.
