I am new to the NW game and have advanced a monk along to become a monk/assasin. I am in Ch.2 in the NW version and can't find any poison. Can someone please tell where I can find and buy poisons. The jerks over at the Bioware forums don't seem to want to help. Thanks in advance.

Just so that you don't think that we're all jerks for not helping you out here....

It's been too many years since I played the original campaign to remember where you might find tht sort of stuff. Besides, I dislike playing evil characters so I never looked for poison.

    Sorry. ;)

[IMG] Big Stick, I appreciate your help. I would not consider thinking anyone here was a jerk. That is why i came here. After I posted my question and received the response that I did, I decided to check out other forums and monitor the way that people responded to and helped other members. I just want to commend the members here on the way they treat everyone. Thanks for the help. Does anyone else have any help w/finding poison.

I don't think that the use of poison became a part of the game until HotU. When you play that module you will find places to purchase poison...but I don't remember any in the OC or SoU.

As Hacken Slash has stated, Poison was added in HOTU and as a result is only sold in the HOTU campaign.

If you want it in the original campaign you will need to cheat.

Open the console by pressing tilde (next to 1 on keyboard) and type in 'DebugMode 1' without the quotes.

Then reopen the console and type in 'dm_spawn item xxx' replacing xxx with one of the followind codes:
    Centipede
    • Average : x2_it_poison020
    • Deadly : x2_it_poison038
    • Mild : x2_it_poison014
    • Strong : x2_it_poison026
    • Very Strong : x2_it_poison032
    • Weak : x2_it_poison008

    Giant Bee

    • Deadly : x2_it_poison039
    • Mild : x2_it_poison015
    • Strong : x2_it_poison027
    • Very Strong : x2_it_poison033
    • Weak : x2_it_poison009

    Spider

    • Strong : x2_it_poison025
    • Very Strong : x2_it_poison031
    • Weak : x2_it_poison007
Finally end Debug Mode with the command 'DebugMode
    0'

Actually, you're thinking of the scorpian people, who are actually called, "Stingers" dropping stingers that can be used by assassins.

And yes, assasins poisoning weapons was implemented in SoU.
