Mimic (HotU spoiler warning)

    How do I get my armour back off the the Mimic ?

    I assumed I needed to put some gems down as bait on the device which emits the flame and then fry him when he takes the bait. But the mimic nevers seems to come near this.

    Thanks for the help.

    You have to go around and gather up several gems, as many as you can carry. They're generated by those machines on either corner of the room. When you see the mimic, start laying down gems a close enough distance apart so that he waddles over to eat them. If they're too far apart, he'll use the crappling thing and fly to it, which you don't want. Start placing the gems one at a time about 10 ft (appx) apart, until you lure him to the incinerator.

    Watch out for those stupid rats - he'll chase it if one walks by. This strategy worked for me. Once you pull it off, be ready for battle soon after.
