    this is the first time i post here and i made up my mind to finish baldur's gate cause i haven't done that yet due to every mistakes i made in the game.

    well this time, i was doing really good without ever screwing up and when i was about to go to that bandit's camp it crashes... so please help...
    or can you tell me the name of area in bandits camp?

    At what point does it crash? loading? movie? when you get in the area?

    Do you have the latest patch installed?

    Then the only thing I can suggest is try re-installing, do a full install as I think it may be trying to get somthing from the disk and is failing... try this out and remember to save your games elsewhere as I suggest you completly uninstall it too before doing this.

    Try emptying the cache folder first, might be just a corrupt area file.
