I got too bored of BG2.... i suspect I beat it too many times to enjoy playing it anymore SO I'm playing BG1 again :) But I wonder what would be a fun party to play with.

Show me what fun/cool party suggestions are just as long as they don't include Khalid and Jahiera and Imoen and Minsc and Dynahier.

    I thought of nothing :(

    *EDIT*

I think i'll be a Mage/Thief this time. Sorry I can't stand throwing the player character into the frontlines as a pure warrior.

Well, can you do evil? You could also do an all-elf or all-female or some other theme. Even a nature-freak (Rangers & Druids) party might be kind of interesting. Or an all-fighter party meleeing their way across the Sword Coast.

Yes, all-race/gender or useless parties is much fun to play. You could also solo regular bg, which is quite a lot harder than soloing SoA (imho)... Or you could try to beat the game doing as little as possible, and going as fast as possible. I'm sure Fel has some suggestions on everything considering going fast, besides the final battle :p :hahaerr: .

If you can deal with a rotation of NPCs, there are some wacky characters waiting in the 'big city' - Alora, Quayle and Tiax.

Sometimes, the fun of the game is *how* you play and not *who* you play with. ;)

Go with an entirely evil party! Just go around doing whatever you please! Oh it's soooo much fun!

hmmm...Evil.....hehe I'm gonna play the game with useless team! Then at Chapter 7 before I try Sarevok I will destroy the Sword Coast and become it's god!

Btw sorry for my late reply. Thankyou too! I definitly have to take Tiax with me because not taking him is a mistake. Did you know it's unwise to not take a soon to be god?

You could build the Crazy People Party and throw in Xan, Edwin, Tiax, Xzar and Montaron. You can pick a cleric PC to have some badly-needed healing power. I suppose it'll be pretty hard, considering you have virtually no tanks, but the banters will be funny as hell!

Actually, you could perhaps do F/C, that would provide tank to some degree. :)

Evil parties can be a lot of fun even if you'd just go on killing everyone worth exp. that you meet.

    Here's some interesting battles:

-Drizzt (of course); try it without Ctrl-Y, or changing any codes, or cheating and as soon in the game as possible, isn't as tough as one might think at first.

-Keldath Ormlyr and his 4 Sirines; remember that Coran's quest with wyverns can't be done without Keldath however.

-Shandalar (in Ulgoth's Beard); worth a ton of exp. (actually a lot more than that). And has good stuff with him. Hard to kill, since he tends to dimension door away after he's blasted your party to smithereens. Might need some special trick to it, find out what works.

-Flaming fist enforcers; they keep on spawning, but if you want war and a lot of bodies, then this should be an fruitful excercise.

Hope I'm not giving too much away since it's fun to find out yourself what can, and can't quite yet be done. Just remember, even if they would be some sort of key characters or unimaginable powerhouses, they have their weaknesses and they can be slain when you carve your mark on the face of Faerun.

One would think that that has virtually no tanks but if you look closer i can throw Tiax, Montaron, and either my character or Xan or Xzar or Edwin in the front. Or I can just use my mages (well that team has 3 of them don't they?) as tanks and Tiax Montaron and perhaps my character can go range.

As a matter of fact I will try Ziad's idea cause it sounds like a lotta fun and even more fun attemping to kill drow elves (no viconia yes drizzt)

I decided I will have my character a Fighter/Druid (Tiax was a cleric last I checked and a Druid should last). I better begin playing right... about.... NOW! Wish me luck peoples and thanks all for your help.

Now 1 question remains, will I die? or will i live?

You'll probably die several times :D

I think that eventually this party can become pretty powerful, but it's going to be rough in the beginning. In any case you won't get Tiax before a while, so you can get a warrior NPC to fill the gap until then, to make things easier.
