problem during char creation

    Hi, i am running the first baldur's gate with the expantion and the latest patch, as well as the ease of use mod and the items vault from your website.

    But somehow, when i create my character, it's like my 7 key is stuck, this endlessly putting 7s on the name, no way to backspace. and even if i accept the name, once in the game itself, it's as if my 7 key on the numpad was pressed, the screen goes in the upper left part of the map and won't buldge, wether i have numlock on or not.

    anyone has any idea what's causing that?

    Edit: i forgot to mention that i do use the faster baldur's gate mod too

    It might just be that youre 7 key is stuck. Make sure it's not, (ie: remove the cap and check it :p ).

    Otherwise no clue, because mods shouldn't have that kind of problem. Though you should have the latest patch installed before the mods.

    well, if my 7 key was rerally stuck, it would be very hard to post here :D

    but yes, i've installed the patch before anything else. I've noticed that some of the modules i've installed seem to have duplicate effects, so i'll probably only install 2, and for the ease of use pack, only install effects not done by the other, might help.

    I'm currently reinstalling from scratch

    Edit: even weirder, it does that with only the expantion and the patch installed, nothing else

    I've had that happen, but only with the first Icewind Dale. If I remember right, what I did was, I unplugged my keyboard, turned off my computer, plugged it back in, then turned the power back on.

    I had a similar problem, and I think it was fixed by toggling the NUMLOCK key.
