This is probably a stupid question but could anyone tell me why any game by Black Isle will not automatically start on my computer?
Other games start with no problems.

Could be anything. Simplest way to solve - browse your CD (root directory) with the Explorer, find the file 'autorun.exe' and double click (i.e. run) it.

I had a problem with my copy as well. After I got the game installed, I couldn't run it from the autorun. I would insert the disk, the autorun screen would pop up, but when I clicked on the BG2 symbol, it would ask if I wanted to install BG2. I had to uninstall and then re-install the entire game twice.

I had that problem to with iwd. Re-installing fix that.

It just that the autorun screen won't open now. It opened the first few times but now the CD just spins in the tray but nothing happens.

? I know this is ludicrously simple, but you do know that the BG games and PST only autorun on disc 1 and you hardly ever use that to play?
