    SCA is the Society of Creative Anachronisms or something to that effect. While never a member of participant myself, I had a few friends who were. It's members enjoy re-creating their lives as if they were living in the middle ages.

    If you've read Christopher Stasheff's Warlock series, you may recall that the original settlers of Gramarye were from several (12-13) SCA duchies.

    Thanks for the info re SCA. I probably should have just done a google serch on it but I was being a little lazy at the time. I just did a search and found out the story behind the Jeanine Salla thing. She is from an internet marketing gimmick for the film AI.

    YIKES! I'm geekier than all the teenage boys here! :eek: I hope my husband doesn't start checking Whatnots, that's a statistic he might not want to know. :lol: Thank goodness I've never had a television or I'd be in real trouble - I'd probably be fluent in Klingon by now, or worse.

    I probably should have gotten bonus points for:
    - More than 5 years' study of Attic Greek (funny, they did count Latin)
    - Holding more than one leadership position in Mensa
    - Buying my wedding dress on the Internet
    - Regularly reading Wil Wheaton's blog
    - Playing PC games before 1985
    - Marrying a DM

    But that's quite all right, my score is high enough as it is.

    Chevalier, you don't have to say "xaire" so often. It means "hi" "hallo" "greetings" etc.

    This SCA sounds nice but... there is always a "but"
