    I'm not going to do a poll on this, just leave it open to conversation. But how do you like your trout (which is a type of fish) cooked?

    I like mine fried, preferably at a place called Paul's in Helen, Georgia, now that's mm mm good!

    Another product of #sorcerers...

    Straight up, with a lot of force to the side of my head. Nice and clean, with a loud slapping noise.

    ,Fish is :thumb: I haven't eaten a type of fish I didn't like.

    At the moment it's a bit too early for steamed trout, but ask me again in a few hours and I'll be drooling...

    @Dalveen: Trout isn't technically "seafood" since it's a freshwater fish. :p ;)

    Pan fried, of course! The worst thing you can do to a trout is TOO MUCH! Simplicity is best, in this case.

    Battered in cornmeal, after being skinned and debonned as much as possible of course, then deep fried in a pan that is on a grill. You will be surprised at the difference that makes. That also goes well with brimm...

    I'm with Rally - pan fried all the way!

    But if not fried, I prefer it "raw... and wrrriggling" - best with a little salt and applied liberally to the side of Deathmage or Slith's head!

    Fried food are not fresh food. Chinese chefs use the high hear of boiled oil to cover the un-fresh-ness in food. At least i have been brought up this way and me and my family generally reject fried food.

    off topic: sweet and sour anything was invented just for this reason. i do pity those who like sweet and sour anything.

    Steam is the only way to go. A little sour plum and some ginger to take away the fishy-ness. Nice and simple.

    Steaming is just a start. The list of steaming can go on and on,
    Hong Kong steam, oil steam, soy sauce steam, TeoChew steam, Cantonese Steam.....

    For those who don't eat seafood,
    you know those Japanese? Their average life span is the longest in the world, 80 above i think. What do you think contributed to this? Their national habit of smoking?

    Preferably caught in a stream, filleted and pan fried straight away over a campfire, with no additional flavourings.

    Yes that's how i had it last time during my 3 day tramping expedition - mmmm....
