[IMG] I'm installing SuSE for the first time and everything is smooth except getting my PPPOE DSL (Sprint) line to connect.

Anyone who can help talk me through the problem? Or show me a link to help?

[IMG] I've read both of those. Do I use xwindows to get to the command line that I can give the commands, ping and so forth, that are mentioned here?

This is my second day of Linux. If SuSE wasn't a breeze to load, I'd still be screaming because I would have reformated over my XP partition.

I don't know about SuSE since I have RedHat, but there should be a program called something like terminal (could be xterm) that allows you to type commands to a shell. It's equivalent to a DOS prompt if you're familiar with Windows. Maybe there's a button on the bottom of the screen that looks like a monitor? Does it have a start-menu-like thing that's similar to Windows? If so, look under a system menu. Like I said I'm not familiar with SuSE...

    Xwindows is the GUI driver...

to get to the true command prompt use ctrl+alt+F1toF6. To get back into X-Windows use ctrl+alt+F7.
