I've heard that Anomen can become Chaotic Evil, too. Is this true?

He doesn't kill Aerie unless/until he's long since given up on being lawful *or* good. (-:

First time I beat the game I played a neutral char, and was really all goody goody throughout the game, did his quest and it was ok; I still dropped him of after the upgrade. Second time I played an evil Monk, the game was a lot more fun, when I talked to him and told him I wasn’t a force of good like I did on my first time through, he attacked me, quivering palm… he went bye bye (I seriously regret not having an imprisonment scroll when I talked to him, next time through he is going there… death is to good a punishment for him)

On a final note, he is an idiot, Edwin is an idiot too, but because of the way I play, he is vital in my party, and I always have him around. Amonem is not nearly as good as Viconia. And the fact he is neutral, lawful or whatever doesn’t change the fact his dialogues (although well developed, hat off there) make him a prick and a total moron.

[IMG] I give a thumbs up to Anomen. I've always found his abillities good. And on the note of his diolouges being annoying, i just hit the mute button on my keyboard. And unless you are ruthlessly evil, ALWAYS do the stuff that lets him pass his test. He really is a nut if he fails. Both in actions and diolouge. I repeat, ALWAYS let him pass his test.

I much prefer to FORCE him to fail his test... my little bit of CN/CE game playing. There is little that I like about Anomen if/when I have the character sounds on and I rarely read his senseless dialogue anymore. He reminds me too much of a narcissistic child. I get very tempted to kill him each time I walk into the Copper Coronet!

There's nothing wrong with making him fail his test. It's just silly to do that and then complain because he acts like a psycho. He acts like a psycho because you turned him into a psycho. Duh. (-:

Of course, many people may PREFER him as a psycho, but that's another story...

[IMG] You can turn Anomen into a psycho just by making him fail his test? Cool!
I'll try that next time through. Is he less of a richeous pain-in-the-behind as a psycho?

No, no, may him fail his test so that you get to loot all the stuff at Baron Whatshisface's place. Even if you get him to pass his test - he still makes for a fine argument for spinsterhood and/or lesbianism.

Thank you zaknafein. I'm glad you agree with me. I've been telling every one to kill him for a week or two.

I don't know, I really like Anomen. Most people complain about his abrasive personality, but it actually fits in with the type of character I play. I use a Cavalier (named Launcelot of the Lake) who uses the Sir Kalthorine soundset you can download from Sorceror's. Together with Keldorn, we're like a party of wandering knights-errant righting wrongs, protecting the innocent, and smiting evil where ever we go (ya know, all that knightly crapola). Sure, he's a little arrogant (ok, alot arrogant), but once he gets knighted, he does ease up a little. Also, Keldorn seems to hold him in check when he's around (probably because Keldorn was the one making him scrub the floors in the Order building when Anomen was a young squire).

All that righting wrongs junk doesn't matter.

Look at it this way. Anomen is a fool. He is preventing the Most Noble Order from becomeing more powerful (don't ask me how, he just is). So if you are a paladin or any other good character then its your job to help the Order. So realy what you are doing is for the greater good. Killing Anomen would be just like righting wrongs.

See my point. If you don't see it my way just kill him anyway and you will thank me eventualy.

No way! Anomen's more powerful than all the paladins of the Radiant Heart together! (at least in the hands of a good player  )

Anomen may be arrogant, but that is no reason to kill him!

FOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLS. Don't you know true evil when you see it. He is realy involved in an evil plot with the drow to take over Amn and Baldur's Gate. The only one holding them back is me. You are trying to defend him?!?! He must DIE. DIE. DIE. And so must his followers.

Y'all do what you want. I'm keeping Anomen. In fact, I considering adding Mazzy to the party so we can go around saying that we're the Knights of Neet. Neet! NEET! Now, go forth, and fell the mightiest oak in the woods wiiiiiiittttthhhhh, a HERRING!

[IMG] I'll never understand two things:

    1) Why some people hate Anomen so much

    and

    2) And why people go on and on about that movie! :flaming: I just got done watching it for the first time tonight (yes, where have I been) and everyone assured me it would be good. Riiiiighhht. Mildly amusing to say the least. The only two scenes I like are the fight with the Black Knight and the killer rabbit. Hardly the hype.
