[IMG] I recently made a portrait for BG2 and when I tried to load it in the game, it appeared as a question mark. I have had this difficulty before with BG2 as well as BG1. However, I have also made portraits successfully. Does anyone know why some portraits work and some don't?
    Thanks!

If the portrait is created in the proper format (color depth, size, etc) this shouldn't be a problem.
I did notice, however, that if I copied the files into the 'portraits' directory when BG2 was running, only a question mark appeared instead of a picture. When I restarted BG2, everything was fine...

[IMG] Thanks for the reply, yeah that was the problem. If anyone is interested in it, it turned out pretty well, I can send it to ya. Email me at 9iron@outgun.com . it's based of of the Slayer's Lina Inverse, and it has a pretty fun sound set that I found somewhere on the net. It makes for a comical scene at the begining when the protagonist is getting experamented upon > ;)

    Thanks again
