I can only think of a paladin and a ranger 'fallen'.

It means they lose their extra abilities (spells, innates). Which sucks, because they will still retain any limitations they originally had.

Your ranger or paladin becomes fallen when your reputation falls to or below 10. Your ranger/paladin becomes a fighter, losing all the fancy ranger or paladin special abilities. Your stats and proficiences will remain untouched.

I think you should reload a game where your character hasn't fallen yet and this time, be nicer and obey the law. :) (Or you could just be naughty and then get your reputation increased in a temple, but that would be costly.

If you have "fallen" and still have not completed your stronghold quests, finishing those will also "restore" you (for lack of a better word).

Check the manual to see at what rep "falling" occurs. Ranger 4, Paladin 6 as I recall...

AFAIK, raising your reputation after you've "fallen" doesn't restore your lost Paladin/Ranger-hood. Doing the Paladin stronghold quest (as a Paladin, of course) will restore your abilities, though I'm not sure about the Ranger quest.

It's ditto for the ranger quest. Although why you'd want to bust a gut to be able to charm animals 4 times per day is beyond me. You do get some cool stuff and some xp though

You can also fall if your alignment changes from what is allowed normally. Ex. if your ranger "somehow" becomes of evil alignment your will become fallen. Fallen is definitely very bad for pallys because they lose all their special abilites and thus become a rather crummy fighter who can't put more than 2 stars in any weapon. Same for rangers. This kind of falling cannot be undone.

Maybe I'm wrong then, I've seen it happen twice, once to me and once to a friend, and other people have told me this. That is what I am going by but maybe it is a bug or something.

You should have started a new topic for this since it's not really on the original topic, but they're in the northeast of the Bridge District on the other side of the houses from the entrance there. You need to find an alleyway south of the entrance that leads east and follow it back up north. They'll be waiting there for you.
