    Well... Mulhorand is an old empire on the rise again after a long period of decline. Then there's of course Netheril which however would require a timewarp. Halruaa would probably be the closest equivalent if you want your adventure to be set on the current date. It would be nice to know a bit more what you're interested in though, since it's quite difficult to recommend anything with so little information.

    Hrmm... I came to think of something myself just now. Do you guys know of any intersting places in Underdark? Any cool drowcity? Or what about the drides? Is there a place they are, any worth in mention? And the Mindflayers and Masterbrains?

    Menzoberranzan (I might have forgotten the spelling after all this time...) is the best fleshed out drow city. Read Homeland and Exile by RA Salvatore for good insight into that area.
