I'm going to make a little guide for BG2, including presentation of the game. It is for school, so it will be kinda cool homework. ;)

What I was wondering, was which class I should go for. I was thinking about a fighter of some sort, or maybe a mage. What is the very essence of this game? Any suggestions?

    [IMG] Depends on:

    What your teacher is like
    Your playing style
How quickly you want to get through
What school do you go to, playing computer games for HW sounds cool ;)

[IMG] The essence of the game is to be whatever type of Bhaalspawn you like. ;) But impress your teacher and be a noble Paladin  .

And computer games for homework? Count me in.

We are supposed to make a nice-looking presentation of something. I choosed bg2. She agreed and just wanted it to be serious. I go computer-science. Don't know if it is named like that in english though.

Paladin is best if your actualy role playing it, but if your just going through the game then I doubt it matters

I supose I have to do it good vs evil. So I finish the game with a pally first, then go like ce sorcerer. I think this is how I will do it.

Wow we never got to write about computer games when I was at school! Probably because they didn't exist until I was 7 or 8! I was the first kid on my street to own a ZX spectrum and I had people queueing up to play Manic Miner on the ZX spectrum... great days... but I digress...

Myself I always seem to play as true neutral or chaotic neutral... I admit to being selfish and doing things for personal gain first and the benefit of others second (in the game options when offered quests I always ask 'Is there a reward for this?', but I don't openly attack the innocent. I'm like Yoshimo or Jan Janssen in terms of my worldview. You may well be different!

Yes it would be great if you can show perhaps different tactics in relation to 'good' and 'evil' in the game, and relate that to life... there are no single paths thru life but some are easier to deal with than others...

I mean, don;t ya just hate it when you want to do something and then Keldorn (if he's in party says) 'Oh <CHARNAME> we must put this attrocious evil to rest / the blackhearted drow must all be destroyed / the paladins have dishonoured the very gods of torm themselves!' when all you wanna do is talk to them and see what they'll offer you in return for a shady deal? :p

The conclusion can be something along the lines of "There is no TRUE right&wrong, 'good'&'evil' in your choices. There are simply consequences..."

I'd say Fighter is best...just go in and hack everything up. Or if you are really, really good at the game just make the whole thing up....or maybe recite what happens in Chateau Irenicus.

Put tons of Screenshots and you'll be alright.

Well, there's another problem too. I need to make some of the graphics myself. I was thinking of maybe doing portrait and you know, a custom item or paper-doll or something.
