ToB Installation (possible SoA spoiler)

    [​IMG] I searched the forum for this topic and I couldn't find it, so please forgive me if this has been posted somewhere else....

    I just killed the Slayer and completed SoA last night. After I completed SoA, I installed the ToB expansion (this is the first time I was installing it).

    The installation went smoothly. When I started ToB, I was prompted with 'Do you want to continue with SoA' or 'Begin the Tob' options. Well after completing SoA, I decided to begin the ToB. I wanted to keep my party, so I imported the game, but unfortunately my last save (after inserting 4 of the 5 tears) was just before fighting the Slayer (can you save after defeating the Slayer?). Now in ToB, my Chapter 7 quests from SoA (i.e. Find Irenicus in Hell) are not completed. Am I importing the wrong saved game? Now that I have installed ToB, do I have to go back to SoA and fight the Slayer again (to complete the Chapter 7 quests)? If so, do I select the 'Begin ToB' or 'Continue playing SoA' option?

    [​IMG] The final save is before the Slayer battle, yes. This is normal. If you want to keep all those bonuses, you need to fight the Slayer again. You'll continue in ToB automatically after you kill him now.

    Thanks for the quick response!

    Does it matter if I select the option to 'Begin ToB' or 'Continue SoA' if I want to go back and defeat the slayer, or do I simply insert SoA disc 4 and select my saved game?

    Actually you can get the bonuses from all tears (at least I could...)
    Insert the last tear and quicksave immediately, before Irenicus shows up.

    THANKS....It really doesn't bother me to get the bonuses or not.....I am more concerned with completing the quest. I will try the quick-save before Irenicus shows up though.
