Which NPC (as in the people that can join your party) do you think has the funniest character.

I think its gotta be Minsc, something so appealing about being totally in tune with everything and nothing.

The funniest ToB conversation I've seen actually happened between Aerie and Korgan after I summoned Korgan in one game. It literally had me weeping on the floor with laughter. Good one between Imoen and Keldorn, too. Rewards for taking those otherwise un-funny characters through the whole game, I guess--you get to see them loosen up. (-:

Edwin and Minsc are both rather less funny in ToB than in SoA, and I personally find Jan about as funny as a flushing toilet.

 

I think Minsc and Edwin are the most funny. They are more funny in SoA though.

 

Bah, you found Minsc funny? And you didn't like Jan? OK, fair enough, but IMO Minsc is pure annoying. How in gods name can I get into a fight with his ridiculous catch phrases being spouted off left and right. I vote Jan for one reason and one reason alone. "Ahhh, home sweet home....wait, I don't live here..."

 

i think minsc jan and from BG1 xan was pretty funny cause he was always pissed off

some of his talk with Aerie in ToB is hilarious!

 

Imoens "its just like home without the torture and all that" is fun

The totally week adventurers you meet in TOB are dead funny.

My party dialogue seems to have died down in ToB but Minsc and Aerie discusing Hamsters and what Witch's do for Minsc was fun.

I'm not a huge Minsc fan, but he had a tremendous amount of incidental dialogue with passersby in SoA some of which was very funny indeed. ("PCNAME, I think Boo just soiled my backpack.") Not so in ToB. I found the ToB conversation with Aerie about his jock itch painfully unfunny.

Jan reminds me of oppressively boring people I've had follow me around parties before telling me long pointless stories about computer programming no matter how I try to excuse myself, except that Jan's are about turnips, which I care about even less.

Even the Spectator was a lot less funny in ToB. I guess the writers mostly took ToB very seriously.

 

Minsc!!!!! I love to hear him say: Buttkicking for goodness! !!!!!
And Jan Jansen is also funny.......
Korgan is funny when he teases Jaheira with her big quarterstaff

 

Minsc. The Spectator is hilarious. And those adventurers mentioned above. That was classic.

 

every time i summon minsc...

"eh? where have you brought us boo? --> look who you have found boo with your unerring sense of hamster direction *minsc idoitic laugh*"

it just triggers a spontaneous laughing episode

 

The funniest NPC has got to be Boo...

I think Minsc is the funniest NPC. One of his conversation with Viconia is hilarious. Edwin, or Edwina is also funny. Heck, his end-game credit is the only one that has a joke, more or less...

 

In the absence of Xan, Edwin is my favourite grumpy wizard. I liked Xzar in Baldur's Gate 1 as well and I really wish he could have joined my party in the sequel. His cameo just isnt enough and theres no way I can download The Darkest Day with my connection. "Stop touching meeeeeee!" You've got to love the man and his halfling.

1) Korgan , he always dizzes everybody
2) Jan Jansen
3) Minsc and of course boo

 

I think it has to be minsc, the first time i herd him talking about boo was the first time i have ever laughted at a computer game

 

Sarevok has a great line in ToB, something like this: What would it be, ifwe all came back to Baldur's gate? What would all the people think?
