[IMG] hey, anybody ever come across guys scattered through ToB that didnt have names and either: entered into selling mode (with nameless items selling for loads!) or attacked the party and had various nameless, descriptionless items on their corpses. One guy i found summoned an undead horde and another was completely dressed in shadowwy gear.ive never heard anybody talk about them and none of my mates ever saw them. im pretty sure they're a glithc. anybody know what i mean, or what happened?

Sounds like you've got a few conflicting mods installed although it would help if you said where in the game you encountered these nameless guys.

This is caused by either a modder who does not know what they are doing, or by conflicting mods. I'd suggest completely reinstalling your game.

sorry, shouldve said where they were: one was in saradush, just outside the entrance to all the vampires. the most recent was where you fight draconis outside abazigals lair, and several scattered about amkethran. i would've thought mods would have done it but i haven't actually got any on my computer, and have recently reinstalled because of some other bug with mellissan crashing the game, to no avail.

Did you put any mods on before installing ToB?

Does the problem still occur in a brand-new game?

There's definitely no one else in the area where you fight Draconis. There's Draconis and an empty space and that's it. Either you installed a mod previously in the game (it could still be lurking in your overrides folder) or you've got a bug.

Can you talk to the nameless people or fight with them?

Reinstalls don't really help anything, since the game saves everything in the saved game file.

Have you ever had mods installed on your computer, on any install of Baldur's Gate?

you can enter into the dialogue box mode with them, but they don't say anything- you just get a blamk box and no dialogue options,or a continue button at the bottom, but pressing 1 or 2 moves the conversation on another step until either combat or the shop window.come to think of it, i may have had a mod on, a long time ago, that didn't seem to do anything. i'll have a look and see if i can find the installer anywhere to see what it was.

Have you tried looking for the mod 'Reign of Virtue'? i had an early version of that a while ago which gave me similar problems, try uninstalling it and seeing what happens. good luck!
