[IMG] Its a 'Mystic Thurge' kit i downloaded, and *damn* it sounds cool! As the name suggests its supposed to be pretty much a cross between a druid and a sorcerer and has some new HLA's and other skills.

BUT, i think its clashing with one of my mods or something and if i start a new game (either in SoA or ToB) with a druidic sorcerer the game crashes.

So anyway, before i try re-installing BG2 i was just wondering if anyone has gotten this kit to work, or is it just faulty? :(

I am not sure if it works, but it sounds cool. I always wanted a halfling druid/Mage.

Just tried the Druidic Sorcerer... very fun (if a bit overpowered ;) ). As for conflicting mods.. I don't really know which it could be :( , I have a bunch of mods (tactics, ease of use, item upgrade..) and none of them are conflicting with it. So yes, it does work. Hope you can figure out what's breaking it so you can try, seems to be quite fun :)

Cesard: It counts as a druid kit, so I don't think halfling would work.

Meh, i re-installed Bg2 and Tob snd got it working with only fixpack, ease of use, and improved asylum.
I think the overpowerdness (if thats a word...) will be good for tob tougher bosses. All of the Quintessic magic sounds pretty cool and the picture i've got of fiery cataclycism looks like quite the slaughter machine.
Anyway, im starting a new game with a druidic sorcerer and a kensai dueling to a thief. Wish me fun...

I must say that I see much more sense in a sorcerer-style priest than in a wizard-style one. Priests shouldn't really be casting spells per se but praying. Making it a double-pray, like pray to memorise and pray to cast, is a bit too much. Well, 3E's spontaneous casting sort of helps this, but I still believe priests should be free to cast anything they already know provided their deity approves.

Of course, this breeds the following question: do priests receive spells from the deity or do they receive some power they can channel as they want. If spells, do they receive spells for future use according to the deity's will or do they receive spells and are free to spend them however they like including uses hardly endorsed by the deity.

The wizard-style variant makes sense if we establish that priests receive powers and are free to use them as they will and the use will be judged only after it happens. Either this or being given specific spells to spend in the same manner - although this makes a little less sense.
