Hopefully those items aren't as seriously overpowered anymore... :nolike: The rest sounds good, though.

I don't know where you are getting this "overpowered weapons" stuff. UB adds very few items, and most of them are throwbacks to BG1.

Please tell me what items you feel are overpowered and I will look into it.

    How 'bout this:

    +5 mace
    Protection from Level Drain
Every undead must make saving throw vs. death once hit, or be instantly killed.

This, at the temple ruins? The place I usually visit first? :shake:

Virne What's it called? are you sure you're not talking about the upgraded MoD+2? it hits a +5 and has the exact same stats as the one you're talking about.

I played through the temple ruins with UB installed and never came across that mace. And I think I'd remember something as hideously overpowered as that.

You don't have the Darkest Day installed by any chance?

No TDD, and I'm pretty sure (99.5% sure anyway) that it was UB that had installed those items, since every other mod I had did not affect items in any way. No, it was no "upgrade" -it was just laying around, ready to be picked up. Can't remember the name, since it has been some months when I last finished BG.

Just install the mod, play a while, visit the merchants at Trademeet, and you should pretty soon start finding this kind of items (if you selected "restored items").

Again, I reiterate, this is *not* Unfinished Business. You need to take a second look at what mods you've installed, because I guarantee you that these are from some mod that you are confusing with UB.

Read the readme for a full disclosure of what UB adds: http://www.icelus.net/ub/readme_ub.html

And Icelus, being one of the creators of UB, surely would know if that item was actually in the mod or not?

    Thank you, Sparhawk. :)

And, if you read the readme even further, it will tell you exactly where these items can be found, none of which are in Trademeet.

Virne, if you could provide us with actual names of items, we could probably track down which mod added them, instead of your accusing other mods.

This is St. Cuthbert's mace and it is from Freedom's Reign.(maybe Reign of Virtue, whichever is the SoA Mod, not the ToB mod)

It's on the Shadow Dragon's Corpse

Yes, that's right; Cuthberts Mace. :) Remember that because I killed the dragon almost right after leaving Irenicus' dungeon; kinda odd of finding +5 mace so quickly and so easily. :shake: The odd thing is that I cannot remember ever installing any Reign mods... :hmm: Oh, well; it was some months ago since I last had BG on my comp.

What can I say: oooops -wrong fellow, wrong mod (if Juevon is rite).

Thank you! Boy, that was a pain to work around. Altering my location in a saved game with Areas and X,Y coordinates won't be an issue anymore. Yippee!

Any chance of restoring the D'Arnise connection to the Guarded Compound?

@Bombur: At the moment, no, but JCompton may be expanding on that with the de'Arnise Romance mod. We might add something to UB that strengthens the tie between the Guarded Compound and the Twisted Rune, but even that is still debatable.

Why not? The Twisted Rune is behind Irenicus. And the five. And Melissan.

    And Neeber.

I thought Neeber was behind the Twisted Rune.

    That's Noober. I think.

Or do they rule as a pair? Kind of Ernie & Bert of the BG world.
