I'm making a Poison Short Sword for my Assassin and the colors, no matter what I edit them to, turn the sword and some of my clothing green.

    I have it on:

    Set Item Colors:
    Timing Mode: While Equiped
    Probability: 0-100% / Target: Self
Everything else is left alone until the Parameter editing.
Gradients I select from the gradient list. In this case the number is 53 (Adamantine Grey)
Location I get from the list above: 21 (Blade Portion)

Any errors you can think of?

Yeah, you've got the wrong location selected for the color change.

You can actually change major and minor colors and other things with that setting. That's apparently what you did.

I'd recommend importing this into DLTCEP and look at it that way. It's a lot more user friendly than IEEP for this task.

Put the item in your override directory, then go Edit->Item->choose your item.

You may need to use WinBIFF or some other program that can extract the item file, though.

He said he was making a short sword, so I figured he was doing it from scratch. I've done that without ever needing WinBIFF.

Heh heh heh, it's not even funny how I can't figure this out. I've followed several tutorials, but it's still changing my characters clothing color. Do any of you guys have an Messenger Program? (ICQ, AIM, MSN, etc...)

Maybe we can figure it out. I can make the item do just about anything...but I can't color it.
