Becoming a God was, atleast for me, an evil choice. I played CN and choosed fairly evil conversations. I've heard rumors that if you have a good alignment, you can become a good god instead of a murder-god.

Refusing to become a God is a good choice though.

Are you roleplaying or powergaming? Because if you're powergaming, it doesn't impact your character the slightest.

Does it even make any difference? I mean the game is over, it's just a moral choice, not that you can play it further as a God or a mortal who has refused to become a God . Or can you?

The type of god you become is dependent upon the type of character you are playing. Good characters become good gods whereas evil characters become evil gods, and live up more to their paternal heritage. So becoming evil is only an evil choice if your character is evil. For me, the decision usually comes down to whether or not I am romancing someone.

I would choose Mortality if I were romancing either Aerie or Imoen :p Otherwise it would be godhood for sure, but like Lots said; it's just a moral choise.

The first four times through the game I just picked whichever option I hadn't previously picked. The fifth time, and all the subsequent times, I pick mortality if I'm good and Godhood if I'm evil because the evil God seems to have a better ending than the good one.

"You are the Bhaalspawn, Lord of Murder, and you will destroy all who stand in your path."

Sounds like you're planning on a worldwide killing spree which is a cool way for an evil God to start his/her reign.

In another way, it seems quite anticlimactic to have gone through all the hassle of the BG games to turn round at the last minute and declare you don't want to be a God after all. Kind of like winning the lottery then deciding not to accept the prize money.

Yeah I think the best choice is to remain mortal. Especially if you are romancing someone! ;)

From another point of view, if you were a God you could romance everyone!

Eternal life, endless power... I've heard the women go crazy for this sort of thing.

Hey, Mystra has kinky going-on's with other gods, her chosen, and many others too. So who's to say you couldn't make a harem of "chosen" women (or men), grant them immortality and extreme lovemaking abilities. For the greater good and all, of course. :)
