Is paladin the only class you played?

It would be kind of lame if you could start BG1 with 4 slots in a weapon considering it is far more powerful there, and because Upgrading your weapons is all a fighter gets to enjoy during the game. You'd practically end the game in the same state you started it :(

Playing from BG1 throught TOB is great. Your character will be awesome. Additionally, if you have never played BG1, what are you waiting for? Many here think it is better than BG2 (I am not one of them, I like them the same).

Playing from the start of BG I through BG II is great for continuity and character development reasons. I highly recommend it. Plus it's not like BG I is some prehistoric, crappy game compared to SoA - it has a better storyline IMO.

As for BG NPC's, my favorite was Dynaheir who comes along with Minsc (as his witch, until her demise at the hands of Irenicus in SoA).

Play Bg1 through ToB. It will be fun to have the same character go that long. :p

I went with ranger in BG1 then chose archer kit in BG2 and ended in middle of ToB(don't even know why). Now i'm playing Druid - Shapeshifter  through Bg2 and ToB he is so much fun to play :D :D :D :D

Minsc is a very good NPC as a good character, but Kivan is very good too.
The best evil character is Edwin, he can cast a lot of spells due to the Amulet od Thay.
