[IMG] Before I head off to Brynnlaw....

1)How does one aquire the Silver Pantaloons (without using CLUAC)?

2)And, there is a debate between philosophers near the southern markets in Trademeet. It ends with the better dressed one (looks like a noble) ordering his body guard to kill the other one (looks like a begger). After they kill him they leave right away. Do I find them somewhere else (later)? I was able to kill them and save the begger looking guy, but I wanted to be sure I wasn't messing something up before I moved on.

    :hmm:

To get the Silver Pantaloons, you have to take the "evil" path when doing the "Man buried alive in the Graveyard" quest. Basicly, you have to keep the noble wench prisoner (she's upstairs in the buliding on the very bottom left of the Bridge District) and recieve payment for her...which is the silver pantaloons.

As for the trademeet debate, I think it's funny, but you won't be running in to either of them again during the rest of the game. They are just there for a good laugh... "And I am NOT your brother!" :shake: :rolling:

    1. In the Graveyard, rescue the guy who is buried alive in the North end. He will give you a couple of clues, and you will need to talk to the gravedigger.

[if you want the whole thing, look below for additional spoilers]

In the bridge district at the southwest end you will find the guy responsible for the burial of the other guy. Confront him and he will flee into a house, follow and do what you do best. Upstairs is a woman hostage. Do not free her. Take the scroll on the shelf and follow the evil route. Her ransom is the silver pantaloons.

You're too slow DMC! But you did offer more detail than what I was willing to type...so that makes up for it....but just barely. :rolling:

No wonder I couldn't find the dang things!
My Paladin couldn't resist helping the buried guy out and doing the right thing for the whole quest.

I guess I'll be using the CLUAC... :p

The item number code is MISC50 if anyone else needs it.
It's not an easy one to find because it's not listed in most guides.

Well, there is a nominally-acceptable way of doing this, if you've a good-aligned character... it's not really role-playing, but if you've just GOT to have them...

Then again, bear in mind that I can justify getting two Rings of the Ram to myself - which I am NOT getting into again... :bang:

After you find the kidnapped woman, send up a chaotic neutral or evil NPC don't release her. Go to the man with the ransom at night and pick-pocket him with a thief (or Haer'Dalis) while your PC is half a map away. Then go back with your PC to release the lady. This may not work, depending on any mods you have installed.

Are there anymore pantaloons to pick up or is it just the gold and silver? Do I have to lug these damn things around until ToB? Why do I have two pair of gold pantaloons in my inv, have no idea where they came from...?

    The Pantaloons Enigma

This will be solved in the last game.

It has something to do with a metal suit I think.

More than this I do not know...

@ Slayer of the Coast - yes there is a bronze set in ToB that you will have to find to complete the set.

do I understand correctly that if you don't import a character from bg1 with the golden ones, the bronze and silver aren't worth a hoot?

If anyone needs to CLUAC them in...

The item number for Golden Pantaloons is: MISC47
    And to repeat.
The item number for Silver Pantaloons is: MISC5O

Now you can be all set for TOB. :D

edit: The item number for the Silver Pantaloons is MISC5O (The letter O, not the number 0)

In TOB a third set of pantaloons can be aquired and when you bring them to a certain person you get a couple of very powerfull items. Very handy if your soling, and still pretty good when playing with a party. However you'll get it so late in the game that you really don't need them. But I always get it, just for completions sake ;)

Question about Bodhi's Dungeon (Chapter 3)...

    There are 4 named Vampires:
    Tanova
    Durst
    Gellal
    Lassal

But I only found 3 coffins to stake.
Is that the way it's supposed to be, or am I missing something?

Tanova doesn't retreat to a coffin, so you only need to stake Durst,Gellal and Lassal.

I know! My avatar wears them over his shoulders! :shake:

Going back to the pantaloons "easter egg"...the bronze set in ToB aren't called pantaloons; they are called Pantalettes (or something very similar) which look like a brown pair of men's "whitie-tighties" underwear. :rolling:

I didn't want to start another thread for such a small question. ;)

And I edited the item number above for the CLUAC code.
O looks too much like 0.
