    This one is strange:

I've just killed Planar Sphere mod boss. 1500000 xp for everyone (althought averybody exept me are dead), but last thing thigs guy did was casting Maze on me. Nice, but WHY this counted as "main character was killed"? I'm a bit angry now...

Warmonger, because your party was dead, and you PC was trapped in a cage deep within the earth. Iirc, if only the PC is left, most disabling spells like maze and charms will render your character dead (even though the effects wear off). Not quite sure, actually... :hmm:

Ways of avoiding Maze: Magic Resistance, Barbarian Rage, Berserker Rage, Spell Immunity: Abjuration (I think, or it's Conjuration; one is for Maze and the other for Imprisonment, but I always mix them up).

Getting charmed in a solo run is as good a run stopper as getting mazed or imprisoned.

Maze is conjuration, imprisonment is abjuration.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but it happened yesterday.

I'm soloing as a fighter/thief, and I had just arrived in the eastern-most entrance to the docks district from Waukeen's Promenade. Then, as usual, that guy who yells something wierd and throws his scimitar at you happened, but instead of it just hitting me for like 1 damage, I suddenly had an unremovable scimitar in my hand. I am not sure if it was a bug or intentional, but it has never happened to me before. I just reverted back to the last autosave and it didn't happen again.

my favorite little bug/quirk happened with the lich at the City Gates. So he runs through his usual time stop, prot. evil radius 10, Gate, Meteor Shower, etc... So I leave the place to go buff up my party members, send my paladin back through. Well by then the lich's protection from evil has worn off and he starts casting on the Pit Fiend who's now hostile to everyone. The interesting thing however is the Pit Fiend just stands there twitching while the lich throws every spell in it's spell book at it (wail of the banshee eventually ended the fun).

Just the last time I was playing I noticed a familiar in my inventory. Wouldn't be too distressing normally, except that I'm playing a Cleric/Ranger. I have no clue how it got there and I'm not sure how to get rid of it without losing some constitution. Drat.

There is a bug that let's you drink a potion while the game is paused and switch it with a scroll of find familiar and end up with a Familiar. It should give you a little extra hitpoints if that's what happened so it could well be worth a single inventory slot.

    [IMG] Warning: Slight spoilers

With my previous mutiplayer-made low-level party, I stumbled pretty much by mistake into the Lich-by-the-Gates' lair and *almost* got my ass whooped down -- so I had my party run out and trick the lich into using its spells until it summoned the famed Pit Fiend.

I ordered my Inquisitor to dispel its Protection from Evil along with other various spells and ran back out just in time to miss the demon's fireball and protect himself from Evil. A minute later, I come back in and watch them pelt each other... the Pit Fiend's Magic Resistance is too good for the lich and the demonic entity cannot even touch the skeletal wizard due to his protections from magical weapons and stoneskins.

At this point I'm just laughing in my chair when a puny Chromatic Orb from the lich bypasses the demon's MR, has him fail his save (Eeeh?) and he's turned to stone :jawdrop:  :D . Instantly.

So I finish off the Lich (who was at Near Death by now) and try to grab the chest with Daystar within, but this gigantic Tana'ri is just standing there, so I proceed to tell the inn's owner that he's got a demon statue in his backroom.

In Watcher's Keep, there are some Ice Arrows, and if I pick them up I can't get rid of them. It's only ever the Ice Arrows, and never anything else.

More of a quirk the next one, but I was an Sarradush(?) and, with a Heroic level of popularity (20), I wanted to see what rep I'd lose by casting Finger Of Death on a peasant. So, I cast the spell, lost 14 points off my reputation, and Kivan, the Ranger NPC who I had in my party, chimed in with, "That was a noble dead."

Let it loose, free up the number one slot in your inventory and then put it back in your pack. Now fill the rest of your inventory up with crap. The next time you're given an item by script or dialog, you'll drop the familiar to make room for it. Ta-da.

Hahaha. You have a 50% chance to bypass a pit fiend's MR, but only a one in ten chance of it failing a save against chromatic orb.

First off: the multi-Brus thingy always happens to me, but if I stay still when I spot the first Brus the game doesn't spawn many more (they stop spawning when Brus opens his fat gob).

Secondly, main weirdness: played a (solo) multi-player game that duplicated Imoen in the very first scene - one went and opened the cave, the second stayed in jailer golem's room. So I went and talked to the second, who proclaimed she was thankful that I had rescued her from Spellhold; when I recruited her she got a million xp. Dumped her before leaving Casa d'Irenico to avoid possible trouble with cutscene/Irenicus + cowlies taking either or both... and when I finally did Spellhold for real, Imoen wandered off while Bodhi did her rant.

Couldn't find her anywhere inside and so left for home, even checking if she'd somehow returned to Copper Coronet on her own. No luck, but I picked up Korgan for his quest. Entered tombs, found book missing, and headed back out to main cemetary sub-level. Only it had changed to the Final Fight map while we did the southern tombs, so I couldn't leave without going through Bodhi's lair... So I did that, killed all vampires and took Bodhi's heart, and then left to finish Korgan's quest.

And then, as we exited Bodhi's lair, she turned up again! And now I suffered the standard vamp attack (lover kidnapped, etc), forcing me to go down once more to finish off the vampire lair (though no Bodhi) and save my sweetheart.

Well, chromatic orb is buggy as it bypasses MR, some patch fixes it though.

    My citygate lich bug:

I had moved all of my party to upstairs, where two insane lovers talk, (forgot their names), then buffed myself up to max, and entered to challenge the lich...alone.

Lich did not notice me. He was just standing there, with blue circle. I force-talked him, he said his usual speech, and turned hostile. But then he still just stood there. No action, no Chain Contingencies, just a lich without any protection standing there stupidly.

:D Well I took my chance and ended his misery quick. He did not even lift a skeletal finger as I bash-opened his skull. :D

Here's a new one (for me): the "Floating Edwina" bug. After Edwin changed himself into Edwina via the Nether Scroll she occasionally moves about without moving her legs--looks like she's floating about six inches off the ground! Moving across Waukeen's Promenade she managed to keep her legs still the entire time. Very funny-looking bug...reminds me of some of the weird movement-related bugs from the old "King's Quest" series.

Out of curiosity, is s/he wearing any regenerative items?

^ Why yes, (s)he is. Now that I've removed the offending ring Edwina is no longer defying gravity. I once had a similar problem with Imoen when she wore the Ring of Gaxx now that I think about it.

Yeah, polymorphed characters seize up every time their HP changes. Give your PC the ring of regeneration and have him change into the slayer. Watch him slide. The flailing arms make it more amusing.
