Does anyone know how to find out what you need to hit creatures in BG2 ? Because when I was doing Firkraags dungeon and came to the adamantite golem, I was sure that the smaller golems with him were clay or stone golems and I managed to kill them easily with my greater werewolf ability. Right now i've just entered the Planer sphere and the 1 clay golem at the entrance seems to be imune to all my damage except for crushing.

I'm assuming that werewolfs use slashing damage.

Are there different types of clay golem??

Visually, the clay and stone golems look the same. The only way to tell them apart is to hold the sursor on them. And, Yes, Clay golems are immune to most damage except crushing. The two golems you met in Firekrag's dungeon were stone golems.

Stone golems can be hurt with (magic) slashing damage, clay golems are immune to all damage except magic blunt weapons.

[IMG] Try using the mage spell "Melfs Minute Meteors". With that spell you can hurt golems, even iron golems !

Golems are immune to alot of things but I believe Flesh Golems can be hit by any Magical weapon, Clay & Sand Golems can be hit by Blunt Magical weapons, Stone Golems can be hit by any Magical weapon, Iron Golems can be hit by +3Magical Weapons as well as Adamantium -but they have major damage resistance so it's all reduced. I may be off a little on this but probably not by too much.

Also, I believe all Golems are immune to missile Weapons (Arrows, darts, bolts and the like). However the best weapon for fighting golems is +3 Hammers or + 3 Throwing axes (whichever pertains to the Golem).

Golems also have varying magical resistances.
