Is there any use for Montarons body once's you found them in the harper's hold in the dock area? For those that do not know, when following the harpers questline you return to that place a second time and when you go upstairs you can find his body in one of the chests there. Except for gaining 20000xp I never found any use for the body and wonder if there even IS a use for it! What do you know about this?

There is no use for it, I figure that it is just there for those people who are wondering what actually happened to him.

I did not know you could find his body!

I think there was a mod that allowed you to betray the harpers (allowing you to complete Xzars quest) but I am not too sure on this.

JSBB -- I don't think anyone even had any doubts about his fate... Considering Galvarey's treachery and all... Anyway, finding his body had come as a surprise -- I thought they dumped his body in the sea, it was next to his hold, after all...

IIRC, the body gets a use in Darkest Day, though I'm not sure this is the mod Cesard is talking about.

I probably imagined it but I am sure there is something like I described...

I think that is in the quest pack-mod but even then Xzar dies in the end :D

@ toughluck - Don't you know the first rule of fiction? Never assume that a character is really dead unless you see the body! :p

@ JSBB - which brings up the (OT) question: did Dynaheir really die? Minsc offered no details, and isn't exactly the most reliable witness. Habeus corpus... (Thought about this after compiling a list of what happens to BG1 NPCs in BG2 in the "Faldorn factoid" thread on the SoA forum...)

Adding: and even then they may not be...only having their body chopped into pieces will
    G U A R E N T E E
that they remain dead with no possibility of resurection...unless you set AD&D rules or higher for the game play settings; in which case dead is forever dead ...
