[IMG] I've taken my evil Cleric from the start of BG 1 and I'm in Chapter 6 of SoA and been through watcher's keep. ToB is coming soon.

    Here is my party:

Maine: Cleric dualled at level 14 to Mage (now level 16)

    Korgan
    Jahiera
    Viconia
    Jan
    Edwin

So the question is: Who do I drop for Sarevok?

On a side note: I thought that at level 14 Jahiera can challenge for the Druid grove but the option is not coming up for it what is going on?

On the Sarevok question my PC, Jan and Edwin make a formidable trio of Mages. A few magic missiles from them can really sort an enemy out. Also Jan is my theif so I can't really drop him even though I'd love to.

So it's out of the other three...

If you're not in a romance with her, then drop Viconia. Although that means you won't have a high level cleric in your group, you actually don't need one imho.
Clerics are somewhat underpowered at high level when compared to other classes, and there isn't much that they can do and can't be emulated by other classes.

Also, having 2 fighters is really helpful so you should keep Korgan.

[IMG] To challenge for the leadership of the Druid Grove your main character must be a druid of lvl 14 and over. The Druid Grove is the Druid's Stronghold, so you can't challenge for it neither with Jaheira nor Cernd.

And concerning your party, don't take Sarevok :shake:

Jahiera is the best choice there to drop. Druids, especially multi-class druids, don't gain levels very quickly, and her fighter abilities are worthless compared to Sarevok. Anyway, Viconia can do anything she can do and better. Of course, this is just from a powergaming perspective. From an RP one, do what your character would do.

On a side note, Jan or Edwin might be a better choice to drop. Honestly, mage damage spells aren't that valuable in ToB, since most of the enemies have pretty hardcore magic resistance anyway.

Drop Jaheira. You have Viconia for a cleric and Sarevok will dominate the front line.

I would also have to say Jaheira because Viconia is a very good cleric and Korgan is a nice fighter so none of them are worth getting rid of.

Drop Jahiera, you don't need two Clerics. :rolling:

[IMG] Drop jaheria. With korgan and sarverok you have 2 very good frontliners (sarverok is the best fighter in the game IMHO). Then as you say with your trio of mages you've definetly got the magic back-up. Viconia is the better cleric out of the two, all jaheria has in her favour is the summon fire elemental spell (no chance of it turning on you) but since your in tob elementals aren't very powerful compared to some of the other summons you can get. So drop jaheria and take Sarverok, then go forth and do evil deeds like one happy family

I will definitely take Saverok and drop Jaheria... Viconia can summon Deva's and stuff soon so what's an Fire Elemental? So thanks all.

And Blackthorne: well done for dealing with the Sly One ;)

    [IMG] Take Sarevok, drop Jaheira.
Viconia is probably the best cleric in the game -- keep her! Jan can be very effective with traps, and his magic is decent. Edwin is most likely the best mage in the game, though.

I must agree partially with the others; if push comes to shove, drop Jahiera. If your party is Evil alligned (which it looks like it does) then she will only get crabby anyway.

However, it is nice to have her druid spells (those elementals can get very wicked) so dropping Viconia or Edwin can help. But keep one of the ladies (for their healing spells). Keep Korgan. It sounds like you need more fire-power and Jaheira helps that a bit being a d/f.

[IMG] Acutally folks Jaheria got imprisoned in the final battle with Irenicus and thus my problem was solved anyway.

I would NEVER drop Edwin, have you even seen how powerful he is at level 20+ ?

My PC acts as a third Tank as with the Elven mail he's and a snazzy + 4 Shield he's got an AC of -10, weilding the Flail of Ages and he can still cast all his Mage spells.

Sarevok is far more useful than Jaheria and it turned out great in the end. Only thing is becasue she got imprisoned at such an inopportune moment all her stuff is lost forever as she cannot be freed (poor Jaheria).

Sarevok and Viconia are practically begging me to turn them good but Maine is an evil bastard so ha ha ha. My power madness turns Viccy on methinks.
