Something very strange

When I go to Cromwell to get something forged I get about twenty different dialogue options and none of them have anything to do with forging items. Here is what's really strange, all the dialogue options are from events in TOB, they refer to Melissan, Balthazar and who knows what else (never taken the time to read them all). Has anyone else ever heard of, or had this happen to them?

I have a few mods installed (Ascension, Tactics etc...) I assume one of these is causing it.

 

I've had this problem with the flirt packs. Some mods conflict with each other and the regular game in strange ways. Sometimes the installation order matters, because of the way the mods reference parts of the dialog.tlk file.

 

Item upgrades + dialogue mods causes that one i believe. It happened to me with banter packs and item upgrade. In my case though, you could talk to hm normally so long as you picked the first random dialogue that appears.

 

Strings appearing where they shouldn't is generally because:

1) You've installed something that overwrites dialog.tlk (such as an official patch, ToB, Baldurdash Game Text Update, or one of the large mods) after modding your game
2) You installed a mod while dialog.tlk was not writeable, i.e. you had an editor open when installing a mod
3) You're playing off a save game that was saved prior to installing mods. (Generally this does not cause problems but it can in some cases.)

Did I do Something wrong here? Does anyone know why this post was moved to TOB forum? As far as I know Cromwell has nothing to do with TOB, Thats why I found it so strange that those dialogue options would show up. Just curious.

 

You have TOB installed, or at least you mentioned it, that's why it was moved.

 

but I went back by CLUAing from TOB and he still made me goodies
