I want to change portrait for NPC but i can only do so in Shadowkeeper. Now the problem is that in my BG2 partraits folder i have plenty of big and small pics, but when i go to shadowkeeper it only detects all small pics some of the large ones are missed. Both are normal bitmap image.

    What should i do

For the large ones 110×170 and for the small ones 38×60. There are large portraits on the one side and small portraits on the other side of the shadow keeper. All portraits should also have an L and an S on the end of their names which seperate large from small portraits and all portraits can have only a seven character name (+L or S on the end to get 8).

Actually, I have the same problem and this is not what's causing it, as all my pictures are the correct size and they work just fine from the create character screen.

If you want to change the portrait for your protagonist, use the customize button on the character screen.

[IMG] I don't think that you can change the "NPC" portraits. Only your characters portrait. But I may be wrong (not the first time, or the last either).

You can change NPC's portraits using Shadow Keeper Walker and Gothmog why do you even want to change their portraits? They just don't look like themselves anymore.

IIRC the game crops the rest off if the pic is too big so that shouldn't be a problem.
Are they all bitmaps with names that are 8 characters long ending on S or L?

Lots of them have less than 8 characters name.
Some of them even work from customize button in-game and dont in shadowkeeper and reverse queer
Yeah there are all bitmaps and end on S or L.

Yes, even if all are valid file names and all are the correct size and format they still sometimes don't work properly in SK. Also, occasionally I even have the same problem using creature maker from TBG.

With the second program though, I can open up the so called "defective" portrait, close Photoshop without doing anything or saving, then it works fine.
