What should have been expanded in BG2?

What areas/chapters/quests do you think should have expanded and fleshed out more in BG2?

    For me:

The slavers quest: That'd be nice if an actual quest connected the slums slavers with the Twisted Rune and Guarded Compound. This would have added some much-needed depth to a series of essentially-random encounters - which were still really cool, btw :)

The guild war: Man, there's some real potential with this. For the Shadow Thieves, I was expecting some mission that involved poisoning the vamp's blood supply with holy water, and vice versa for the vamps except with some chemical that induces vampirism. I was also expecting some more street fighting, with the thieves and vamps duking it out as our PC slipped in to assassinate Bodhi.. but that's thinking ahead.

Waukeen's Promenade: One store. One major quest. One random encounter. A couple of connections with other quests. We need more!

    Post yours!

  2. I agree with you and i think that underdark could have been made a little bigger.. (the quest) and Hell

  3. There could have been much more plots and quests in Brynnlaw and the three Forest Areas added in Chapter 6. I mean, all you did in one of the Forest areas was meet your old buddy Coran, and find the door to Suldanesslar. In Brynnlaw, there was only a small, rather pointless quest with the Courtesan's guild.

There could have been several added quests in the Temple Ruins. Also, I think the City Gates area should have been expanded. Perhaps there should be a quest where the Amnish Guards pay you to defend the city against a bunch of marauding orcs or the like.

I agree with everything you mention Blackrose.

It would be nice if they added more Wilderness areas or just extended the existing ones.

Also I disliked how some places were of little or no use once you have done the quests. There should be more quests that take you all over, to many different areas, like the ones in Fallout. I mean do you ever really go back to Trademeet or the Druid Grove after you've done all of the quests?

well, the limited wish quest does take you on quite on journey...then there's the two-part tanner quest...

I would have liked to have seen a larger temple district with more of the Forgotten Realms pantheon represented.

It seems you can do alot in chapter 2, but all the other chapters were pretty much uncomparable to chapter 2 quest wise.

Yeah, I liked those wanderings too and i would like more quests for stronghold. Yeah, our character is more like wanderer, but i would like more quests where i would fight for my "side".

  10. The Underdark could have been largely expanded. One end leads to somewhere in southern Amn, the other way off the coast of Brynnlaw. :toofar: And it could've used more monsters, too.

I know what they really need in the game, more dialog options, If i am evil I wanted to be able to act evil WHEN I want to, not when the game says I can. It would have been great if they made the game more open concept, and less linear.

I like to see the final Chapter expanded, after all you really didn't get into the main plot straight foreward for a satisfying time. You could get the the unofficial expansion The Darkest Day its a pretty nice expansion for a free download. It include 5 new quest, and one mega extended quest/chapter at the end where you get to visit candlekeep and some other places. It also include over 150 new spells, new items, and new monsters (some superpowerful).
